Default instant noodles

does anyone know approximate calories of instant noodles?
I'm not really sure, but today i read the label of one of instant noodle and it said "one serving for 1490 calories". I was so freaked out >.< it's like "wow, i eat one of this and i have enough calories for the whole day ? it's INSTANT NOODLE >.<"
So i just hope someone will have the answer (because i just can't believe it). I can believe it's 6-800 calories, but ~1500 ? >.<"

Do you mean Ramen or Oodles of Noodles? If so, I know both of those are loaded with hydrogenated oils, and therefore, they aren't very healthy. But I didn't know they had that many cals!

According to what I scrounged up on TheDailyPlate:

Nissin Top Ramen and Maruchan Ramen have 190 cals per serving, with 2 servings per packet for a total of 380 calories for the whole thing.

Nissin Cup O Noodles is between 270 calories and 430 calories per container, depending on the flavor.

So, the likelihood that your variety of instant noodles has 1490 calories is fairly small, I'd think, unless that was the total number of calories in an entire family pack or something (if there is such a thing).

it's a ramen kind of instant noodles.
And thanks Lindsey for your information. I thought about same thing too, they probably just 600 calories max, but i just want to make sure that that brand is just way off.
Sigh, i know that instant noodles isn't a good thing to eat, but i just love the taste, and still make it a treat for myself 1 time/week or per 2 weeks XD it's a habbit i don't want to get rid of.

If you go to the asian grocery, there are tons of instant noodles types of dishes. My husband loves noodles and they are a good snack type thing for him to keep at work. Well we were looking at the ones in the asian grocery and some of them had 800 calories from what I remember. I don't remember 1400.

Now he buys Annie Chun's noodle bowls, which you can find at various stores including Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and some regular grocery stores. They are really good.
