WW&High Protein

  • I was wondering if any of you try to do more protein than carbs while on WW?
    I will be starting soon because I just had a baby 1 week ago,so I am still trying to recover.
    But if you do,include more protein could you please share what you eat as protein to give me some ideas.

  • I don't intend to eat more protien than carbs, but I usually do - just because point for point I stay fuller longer on the protien than the carbs.

    Anyway, some protiens I eat - besides lean beef, chicken and turkey:
    egg beaters
    Beans - especially black beans - they go great with chicken and veggies on a tortilla
    Frigo light string chees - ony 1 pt!
    cottage cheese
    milk
  • Yeah, I do WW with higher protein and fewer carbs. My body responds to it better and feels better. Like texscrapper said, I also find I get more value per point out of protein - keeps me fuller and feeling better.

    Things I eat -
    Protein powder in light soy milk
    One egg scrambled with 1/2 c egg whites
    Black beans, veg, avocado, in a tortilla
    Sandwich on low-carb bread with 2oz meat
    edamame
    almonds
    peanut butter
    Cottage cheese pancakes - easy to make. 1/2c cottage cheese, 1/2c oats, 4 egg whites. Blend together, and voila. Protein pancakes!

    In addition to the standard meats and whatnot. I also eat the light string cheese... I love it.
