Hello... again...

  • Hi everyone

As much of a disappearing act as I am, I would like to say hello once again as I try to get back up on the horse that brought me here.. So January first I am supposed to start my new goal. I used Weight Watchers this time last year (the flex plan, in which I attended meetings) to start my weight loss journey and successfully lost the 32 pounds I had as my first goal, it took me 4 months but I did it. All of my attempts since then have been unsuccessful, which I will partially blame on moving a couple times and being so stressed about trying to find a job and earn enough income to survive.. But now those excuses (and thats what they are, excuses) are exhausted and I'm ready to start again!!

So April 27th is going to be my 24th birthday, I plan on losing 24 pounds in four months, at which time I will be travelling home to Newfoundland to visit my family since I never got to go home during the Christmas season. I really want 2009 to be the year that I reach my second goal of 173 pounds, and since I can't afford to pay for meetings I'm going to be doing it at home. I wish everyone else the best of luck and strength in achieveing/maintaining their goals, and I look forward to taking inspiration and knowledge from you all.. I CAN!!!

BTW, I've never heard of this new momentum thing? It took me a second to find the old forum..
  • Welcome back and good luck on your goal.
  • Hey there Tendalaya! Good to see you back. 24lb in 4 months is doable if you keep that nose to the grindstone! Have you seen the Pound for Pound challenge, sponsored by the Biggest Loser people? It's kind of like what WW did before Thanksgiving - they donate a pound of food for every pound of weight people pledge to lose (and successfully do so). I mention it just because it's on the same timeframe - you make a goal to be met around April sometime. The website is pfpchallenge.com.
  • Just want to say hello to tendalaya and welcome.

suitejudy thanks for the infor on pound for pound challenge I just signed up and pledged to lose 25 pounds in that time frame
