I do not go to the meetings......I follow Online. Will the new program also be available on line?

Thanks,
Louise

Louise,

It sure will. It's not just for meeting folks. All relevant information should be released on weightwatchers.com starting December 7. :)

We're getting the new plan on Tuesday night! I'm excited! New stuff always is a great motivator for me!

:carrot:The New Plan is Online this morning. I'm still looking it over!

Yeap it's online now! Cool...I won't be the weird girl at the meetings doing the "flore" plan anymore lol :D

suitejudyblueeyes 12-04-2008 03:14 PM

That does appear to be it, doesn't it? The new plan is just Flex + Core (which is wonderful, imo).

sammi861 12-04-2008 03:17 PM

So is it just going to be all core foods but counting the points plus the 35 whatever points?

Well, you can still eat whatever you want. They just recommend that your points be spent on "filling foods" (the ex-Core foods). But yes, the structure of daily points + 35 flex stands.

TJFitnessDiva 12-04-2008 03:41 PM

I like it...it's guided to help you establish a healthier lifestyle :) Instead of just counting points.

For Core there is Simply Filling, which is Core but with a prettier name lol

I think all of this change is because of the public attitude (not everyone but you'd be surprised) that if you eat whatever you want, as long as you stay within your points, is ok. While you might get results, it isn't beneficial to your long term success & health.

suitejudyblueeyes 12-04-2008 04:22 PM

I agree - I think they are trying to guide people away from maintaining their unhealthy eating habits in smaller portions. I personally don't lose if I eat 25 points' worth of junk every day... But it took me a long time to learn that lesson. I am interested to see how this will be couched in the meetings. As it stands there are still a couple things fuzzy to me. What is the incentive for eating Simply Filling foods, for instance? You eat 0-point foods because they are 0-points (so you can eat more). You eat from the Core list because if you are following Core, that is the plan. But I am not quite how WW plans to get people to eat from the SF list, when there is seemingly no incentive - know what I mean?

I was looking all over for an incentive, too, but don't see it, other than the virtue that comes from eating healthy food. I don't think the new enhancements will have any effect on me at all since, like many folks, I already ate "filling" food. I like the little green diamonds, though. :)

TJFitnessDiva 12-04-2008 11:31 PM

There are the set points foods on the simply filling list....I can see where that would be more of an incentive for some that are looking for more food.
I guess they are trying to not only have people stay within their points but learn to read your body too?

suitejudyblueeyes 12-05-2008 09:03 AM

I saw one "set points" food when I was playing around with it - lemon juice. I don't understand what it means, apparently, because while a small amount was 0 points, I put in something like 7 cups just to see if it really was set and it gave me a new points amount. So what in the world does that mean, anyway? :dizzy:

TJFitnessDiva 12-05-2008 10:06 AM

Set points are for if you wind up eating more of that item....like a serving of grapes is 1 pt but if you have like say multiple servings of grapes then you only count the set points value instead. Most of the set points are in the fruit and veggie section or the more filling foods so you are less likely to abuse this.

I don't think I felt nervous about it until this week... One of the things I really liked about the flex plan was that I didn't have to think about it too much (once I had a week or 2 under my belt)... Although I'm thinking this plan will make me EVEN MORE mindful of what I'm eating and how it effects me (satisfied vs. hungry after a minute)
