Awesome!!

You can do it! Five pounds and 5 or 6 weeks? Easy-peasy

Did you enjoy your meeting today? Some people find it easier to make themselves get up in the morning to work out so they can't let evening excuses get in the way. I tried it, it was ok, but I feel I get a better workout in the evening.... So I am working on getting those evening excuses out of my mind! Shoot for those 20 lbs! Just remember even if you "only" lose 15 it's still a huge success

I have started using Tubo Jam and it is so fun. It is hard work but the fun make you work through it. I am little worried though. It seems to tone and build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat (duh) and I am scared I will see a gain.... Another I noticed is that I am getting away from eating until you are comfortable. I have the points and I eat until I am full.
TurboJam is a blast, isn't it? I find Chalene is one of the only home exercise dvd leader people who doesn't annoy the crap out of me

I have a hard time keeping up with the coordinated cardio moves but I LOVE the strength parts (turbo sculpt, ab jam). It DOES build muscle. Muscle mass increases your metabolism which will help you lose long-term, so do encourage muscle building. One thing to point out though is that
muscle does not weigh more than fat. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat! HOWEVER, a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat, so if you trade in a pound of fat for muscle your weight will stay the same but you will be leaner and slimmer (which is the goal, right?). Do not be afraid of the temporary gain you may see after starting out a new intense exercise regimen. It's most likely not even muscle mass you see, but rather your muscles holding water as they strive to repair themselves after being used in a new way. It's this repair process that strengthens and builds the muscles. So for a week or two just close your eyes and let your weight go in one ear and out the other - when you see the losses they will be worth it and should come faster and more consistently with the help of exercise. (Also note you may not even see the initial gain... it may come and go between your weigh-ins... you never know!)
As for eating until you're full instead of satisfied... if you have too many points leftover at night and you feel the need to eat until you're full to finish up those points, why not try spreading them out a little differently during the day? Have a high-point snack before dinner so you can eat a moderate, satisfying amount of food and still have finished your points for the day if that will help. A handful of almonds or a tbsp of peanut butter will not fill you up but will get some healthy fats in your diet and use up some points.

I go through the SAME thing. At my sister's house last week it was cookies and ice cream and candy all the way. Since I've been home I've had a really hard time getting the sugar cravings to go away. Yesterday I fought an epic battle with brownies and came out victorious. I did have fig newtons for a snack and dark chocolate after dinner so I am not completely winning but it is getting better. Good luck getting over the addiction, it is TOUGH.

Accept it, Sonja, you are just too awesome for words.

Let us know how it goes!
Well I feel back on the wagon. I've been eating OP since Saturday and have exercised twice (at a minimum I must do it every other day) - TurboSculpt on Sunday and elliptical yesterday. Did some random weight lifting arm stuff in my livingroom this morning while waiting til it was time to leave for work. This is my first week back to working out on a schedule since we moved a couple of months ago... it feels great! I am wondering though if it will show on the scale Saturday or not. We shall see.
So my FIL is coming to visit Friday and is staying through Monday morning. It's a short visit he tacked on to one of his business trips. (He lives in Brazil, does business with some regularity in Denver, is catching a flight to Cville before returning to Brazil.) I am already stressing over cleaning the apartment and getting it set up for his visit... Ack! DH also starts his new job tomorrow. There are about a million things that need to be done, and of course that's when DH finally finds something to keep him out of the house (otherwise I would have taken advantage of his house husbanding abilities). I have my work cut out for me this week!
Oh, and Sonja - Faerie posted in the blue team BL thread today I think, she's getting married this weekend, hence the lack of being around very much!
