  • Restarting too
I know how you feel. I restarted ww flex yesterday. I had lost weight before on WW and now have put it back on. I have never gone to a meeting. I am just going to focus on what I put in my mouth. I also need to drink lots of water, of which I never do. Maybe we can encourage each other. I told my dh that I was starting again and he suggested oatmeal cookies because the oatmeal is good for you Now....you see what I'm up against.
  • I'm restarting too! I wanted to get going with some regular exercise before I started focusing on the food. I've completed two weeks of the Couch to 5K plan, and it seems to be going fairly well, so now I'm going to start focusing on what I'm putting in my mouth.

That's what I am doing as well, focusing on what I put in my mouth. I watched that "I can make you thin" series earlier this year, and a lot of it 'spoke' to me, but I tried it on its own and couldn't control myself, so I joined WW thinking I could 'mix' the 2 approaches - I'm counting points to make sure I don't eat TOO much, but I'm eating when I'm hungry and stopping when I'm full, and I'm eating what I want, not what I think I should most of the time. So far in 4 weeks I've only had 1 or super hungry days, and I just let it happen, and still managed a loss those weeks, so I'm going to stick with it to see if it works.
  • Here I come again...how many times have I said...WW again...this time I'm going to do it...only about a million! I have to remind myself, it is a life style...not a diet. It only works if I change my lifestyle to eat healthy foods (which I guess I havn't learnd that lesson yet...or I wouldn't be in the shape I'm in!) But this time I am going to really try to figure out what my triggers are (stress...) and why I am always drawn to foods that are not good for me. Also I am terrified of eating out...I have NO will power and need to learn how to manage eating out. I am easily influenced by friends and family...all of whom are overweight. One guy I work with brings in the most wonderful fresh from the bakery giant hot soft pretzels...I didn't even look in the bag today! Remember...the first three letters of Diet spell DIE...let's not go there...

  • well after a couple weeks op i am back on plan myself and back on here as well
  • Allow me to throw my "I'm back in the saddle!" to the heap! The difference, this time, is that I feel committed to being healthy--it's not soley a "looks" issue or a skinny jeans goal. I'm enjoying exercise and not feeling that I *have* to do it..I WANT to do it!! Am doing Flex but really keeping an eye on the processed stuff..especially the WW products..man they are loaded with junk!!! But those little cakes are soooo tempting.. but processed like crazy. I'm coming over here for the boards..sometimes the WW Community boards at their website get waaay out of hand and kinda snarky. Ya know?

  • It is good to see so many determined people making a fresh start. I think that there is strength in numbers and we can come here each day to gain encouragement from each other and just lose the weight one pound at a time and take it one day at a time ...just like we gained the weight in the first place. Together we can do it!
  • Ditto to that! I like hearing that other people are recommiting just like me - gives me hope that together we can do it!!!
