Feeling REALLY good about myself. I had not one, not two, but THREE NSVs while donating blood.
1. My resting heart rate, which used to be 75-80, is down to 60. Hooray for me getting fit!
2. My blood pressure, which used to be 138/90 (prehypertension) is now 116/74! Hooray for having normal blood pressure!
3. The nurse, who asked me for my estimated weight, said "Really? You don't look like you weigh anywhere near that. You look really solid"! Hooray for looking solid!!!!!
And on the minor NSV side as well, instead of going for the donuts and juice after donating, I had a bag of mini-pretzels, a piece of string cheese, and some water, not because I'm particularly worried about calories after donating blood, but because they sounded better.
I'm doing a little happy dance right now. Well, I would be, but I'm not allowed to exercise for a day.
