Kind of a NSV

Ok first off I hope everyone is doing well. :D A few months ago I went to the Dr. for my yearly exam, my husband and I have been TTC for about 3 1.2 years now, so I had them do a work up to make sure everything is OK. The test come back saying that I was low in progesterone and would need to see a specialist. I never made an appiontment to go.

On May 1st I hadn't gotten my T.O.M so my DH said he was tired of waiting, (We were going to wait until the following weekend) and had me go get a test. I am Pregnant. Blood test confirmed on May 5th. I am 6 weeks along. We are so happy. My 1st appointment is not until May 31st, but I can't wait. I am still eating healthy but feel like I am gaining a lot of weight. So far I haven't. I gained a lb last week but this week I lost about 4lbs. Its not from morning sickness, because I am not throwing up. As big as I am I think it is still OK but i will definetly talk to the Dr. I ate like crazy this week too.

Sorry to go on & on. I just wanted to share the news. I will now be more in the pregnancy forum. Thanks for all the support I had while I was here.
Take care everyone and keep up the good work!!!!

Congratulations!!! I've been there on the TTC front, and it's so hard (I haven't had children, and now not planning to - long story) but I am always over the moon for anyone who has had a tough time and now has their dreams coming true. :)

Well done you!

On the 100lb club there are quite a few women who have been on the larger side and gone through pregnancy without a gain, and sometimes even a couple of losses on the way.

Fantastic news about the pregnancy. Congratulations and thanks for sharing. It put a smile on my face. I went through years of fertility treatments and now have 2 children age 13 and 20 and thank the Lord every day for them.

I loved it also! I thought that the baby moving was the best feeling ever!! I was lucky though no morning sickness. The only thing that got annoying was when the baby got the hicups..:D
nicolyn75, I hope you enjoy yours and have NO morning sickness...Careful of the cravings though with all three of my kids it was some fatening food I was craving!;)

Congradulations!!! Keep eating healthy. I lost weight with my second, and with my first I only gained 5lbs. My lat one was more "normal" I think I gained 35, but then afterwards I gained even more :D Good luck and Keep us posted.

Jtjoray 05-15-2006 01:16 PM

Wow Congrats!!!!! Your going to have a blast.

LuckySmyle 05-15-2006 01:24 PM

Congrats!!!

At the beginning of my pregnancy I lost weight, my doctor was fine with it as long as I was eating properly (which was probably why I lost weight).

Side note:
Even though I never had morning sickness, sometimes the thought of hot food turned my stomach and there aren't many frozen foods that are healthy (that you eat frozen) What worked for me was freezing meal replacement shakes (the chocolate ones taste like fudgecicles) I don't recomend this instead of eating healthy, but on the days you need it, it helps get in some nutrition.

Thanks again everyone!!! So far I don't have any morning sickness. After I went to Subway and got a roast beef sandwich my cravings are gone! (for now.) It was so good! Again thanks!!

Jtjoray- Love your new avatar. Nice picture. You are doing so well!!
