I've never done IF every other day, but I did have some good luck with it doing it daily (only eating 6am-2pm). I have naturally low blood sugar, so I had to be careful to get my protein in.
10lbs is a great mini-goal. Is your scale off from other scales, or does it change every time you get one? Because if it is just wrong, but consistent, you can still track your progress with it. Then maybe your new scale could be your reward when you reach goal? I like to give myself little rewards like that.
