I don't think I've ever posted in the mini-goal forum but I though I would give myself a pat on the back now that I am approaching my first goal of 50lbs lost.
I believe this is the most I've lost in any effort I put in to weight loss over the years. My starting weight on my ticker is my highest weight ever and was recorded at my doctors appointment last year. I believe when I started almost 2 months ago, I was about 20lbs heavier than my current weight. What motivated me this time around was my out of control blood sugar which was causing other issues that I couldn't resolve with medication. I was not feeling well physically, always hungry and thirsty and was making poor food choices. My WOE is low carb but not as restrictive as atkins. I eat about 35g of carbs per day with moderate protein and higher fat. I feel great, lots of energy and best of all, my blood sugar remains in the normal range consistently with no high's at all now. What keeps me going as well is having people notice my weight loss
