Default NSV-Dress Pants

What is it with dress pants? Seriously? Like, why don't they have the awesome stretch and give like jeans?

So, I'm into size 14 jeans now. I'm stoked. I decide "hey, I'm going to buy this pair of dress pants for work! Size 14! Yay!"

I can BARELY button them, let alone zip them, and when I do get them all trussled up, I look like a pillow with three strings tied around it!!!!!!!!

Frustrated, I pulled out a pair of size 16 (not 16w) dress pants I had in the back of my closet that, just last month, made me look about 7 months pregnant and did horrible things to my behind. Guess what? Awesome, perfect fit.

So, I'm a 14 in denim, 16 in dress pants and who the heck knows in skirts because, seriously, make up your minds, clothing people!!!!!!

Congrats that's a great feeling isn't it?!?
I know what you mean with sizes of clothes too!!! I range from size 12-16 lol. Last month I bought a pair of size 12 jeans I loved but couldn't quite button. Well the other day I couldn't find my pair of jeans that I know fits so I tried the ones I bought and they fit perfectly!! It was a great relief! woohoo

My first question is: what brand were the dress pants?

Many brands maintain similar sizing, however some brands run smaller. My advice is to track your measurements with a measuring tape and consult their size guides. I had a similar issue feeling horrible about not fitting into a size 14 recently, but when I compared that brand's size 14 fit to other brands I usually wear, I saw that I shouldn't feel so horrible!

Banana Republic sizes are a bit smaller than many store brands. Their 12 is my next dress goal! I even have a dress waiting in my closet for me to use as an NSV.

Best wishes with your continued weight loss!
