Default Jeans! Tops! Dresses! NSV!

So, the scale may not be moving fast enough for me....but my clothing size sure is. I recently bought a pair of jeans in my usual 16w (down from 20w, thank you!), and they were HUGE. Like, saggy butt huge. Now, I can wear 16 regular jeans, and SOME 14w. It's so weird. Also, I can buy XL tops and XL dresses-nothing that is XXL or 1x. Today, I wore a Lane Bryant dress that was a 14/16.

I actually have to try on clothes now, which I hate. Seriously, is there nothing less forgiving than a dressing room mirror? Next up is swimsuits. Last year I wore swim shorts and a tankini in a 18/20w. I wonder what I'll be in this year....

This is getting strange, y'all.....

Oh, but the worst part? The cups on my bras are now too big!!! What?!!

Awesome. Gotta love it when the pants that were too tight a few mos ago are now needing to be pulled up every 5 seconds. Nonscale victories are awesome

Woohoo! Great job!!! So exciting (and annoying, but mostly exciting!)

Funny you say that about dressing room mirrors. I've always thought I looked better in the store's mirrors, which convinces me to buy things, and then I come home and realize I look awful haha

That's so great. I love getting into "regular," sizes. I always feel like the store is trying to shame me when they put the plus sizes in a corner.

My little town has only one department store (Peebles) and the last time I went there, looking for something in 2X -- they had nothing! I had been a few months before and they had a few racks of plus sizes, but I guess that was the last of them.

I told the clerk I wouldn't be back and she suggested I shop online. I told her I couldn't understand why they weren't interested in serving the 48% of Americans who are overweight and she just looked surprised.

If they go out of business, they'll blame Walmart.

I read somewhere that some stores actually angle their mirrors slightly to give a tiny bit of a height (hence more slender) look, much like those selfies taken at hip level.

I hate trying clothes too! I mastered the art of buying clothes without trying them on after decades of my body being the same shape but now I am clueless, it's so annoying!

I can't wait to be able to just put on a pair of jeans and whatever top and look nice, I am too lazy to have to worry about rolls and flabbiness lol
