Healthy BMI!
Hi everyone. I joined this forum when I was trying to lose weight after my first year of college. I was at an all-time high of 200 pounds. I'd been overweight since childhood, and 200 was my personal rock-bottom.
With some help from this forum as motivation, I lost thirty-something pounds and got down to a healthier weight. I hadn't really lost much since, but I definitely maintained a healthier lifestyle. I ate better and exercised.
Recently a relocation meant an increase in exercise and healthy eating, and I've been losing weight again. Since I got here, I've lost about fifteen pounds, going down from around 169 to 154. I've been bouncing between 160 and 170 for a few years, so this is a big deal.
Since I'm 5'6, it also means I've reached my mini-goal! I don't think I've been a healthy weight since I was six or seven. And now at 23, I have a 24.9 BMI. Just at the cusp and hopefully getting healthy.
I know BMI isn't everything, especially considering that people carry weight differently and some have more muscle mass, but I'm happy to be healthy. Thanks for all your help over the years!
