Default Biggest Loser Challenge (at work)

We're doing a 3 month long "biggest loser" contest/challenge at work. We're only on our 4th weigh-in, but I weighed in today, and I'm officially in 1st place! For now anyway. Hopefully I'll be posting again soon with my mini-goal of reaching Onederland!

Thank ya!!

I'm not worried too much about winning, but I entered, hoping it would give me the motivation I needed to really keep my focus on weight loss...and it is working so far!

This is really great, because you're doing well despite that you're so far along in your weight loss already.

I'm always worried about these types of competitions because I feel like I'd be at a disadvantage since I've already been losing weight and I won't get that big 12 pound drop right off the bat. But maybe next time my work has one, I should join in.

I eat lots of calories because my effort is to lose slowly (Trying for 3 lbs per month, although I might have to up my calories a bit more) but I bet I could exercise to lose more, without taking my calories down at all.

Anyway, I didn't mean to make this about me. I just want to thank you for the thread because it made me feel a bit more positive about that kind of event. Good luck in the competition, and however it goes, keep up the great work you've been doing changing your body!

Thanks so much, Falora! I wasn't sure how I would do, since I had already lost some, like you were saying. And I had that fear, too, that I would lose the least of everyone. But, it adds the accountability of weekly weigh-ins (which helps me so much). I'm glad it has made you feel more positive about it. That's what is great about this site...mutual motivation
