Thank you all sooooo much. Yesterday was the icing on the cake for me. My teenage boy who never expresses his feelings unless prompted said, out of the blue, "Mom you look really good now!" I was in my gardening clothes - all dirty and sweaty - not dolled up and 'cute'.

I figure if he said that and felt strongly enough to say it, then it must be true! It's finally sinking in that I'm NOT tubby any more!

Too bad I wasted my 20s and 30s and the beginning of my 40s being fat, but I can capture the rest of my 'youth' with being fit and healthy and at an appropriate weight! Best present to myself, my husband and to my kids.
