Default mini 74 lb to lose by october

hi all i hav an ambitious call wana lose a total of 85lbs by october


my start weight was 235llbs on 19th april and today its 224lbs

i eat 6 times a day and do strength traininf twice a week

i only eat wholemeal bread, skimmed milk, low fat mayonnaise


i have completely stopped drinking pepsi- i use to drink atleast 4 cans a day


i have replaced pasta and rice to wholemeal to

i havent binged or had the urge

i drink plenty of water

can anyone offer any advise on what else i can do to help aid my weight loss

Rule 1: Cardio. lol Zombieland reference. But it holds true for weight loss as well.

Well, good luck to you...but I have a feeling a lot of people here are thinking, and might say, the same thing I will -- that is not healthy weight loss. 74 lbs in 5 months? And someone else wanting 74 in 3 months? That is not a great way to lose and it will be 5x harder for you to maintain, because you will have to reach it unnaturally and unhealthfully.

You've definitely made some great changes, but in IMHO, the best thing you can do you for your weight loss it to readjust your goal and aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Beyond that, a nutritionist might be a good bet.

Sorry, I am not trying to preach, I hate when I see that -- but this post just stood out to me. 5 months is about 22 weeks -- even at the higher weight loss of 2 lbs per week, that's only 44 pounds by October!!!

I actually kept an eye on this thread because I think this is dangerous.

I agree with Lunula. This is not healthy! I didn't want to discourage you but don't think 75 lbs in a few months is achievable with a reasonable diet.

Please, please rethink your timeline!

I completely agree with Lunula. Why be in such a hurry to drop weight? Why not just let it happen in a healthy way? I'm sure it took a long time for the weight to come on, so it's better to give it a reasonable amount of time to come off. Cutting out soda, eliminating white/refined flour and avoiding binges is a great way to go. Just keep active, exercise and make sure you're eating a healthy, well balanced diet that consists of wholesome, natural foods. I wish you all the best.

When I lost the biggest chunck of my weight (100+ pounds) I wasn't weighing myself, at all. I got rid of the scale all together actually. The reason I think this helps is because if you have a bad day on the scale, or a few in a row (eek, but it happens for numerous reasons) it can totally throw off your balance, may cause you to cheat, or stress you out. And the last thing you need is stress!

Instead of "I wanna lose 74 pounds weight by october" think of it as "I wanna lose weight by october". This way there is no disappointment, no crash dieting. Who knows you may get there, you may get close.. But really even if you only lose say 20 pounds by then, you're 20 pounds lighter, healthier, happier.. and thats all that matters. Big goals shouldn't have a deadline.

thanks for all your support and vsluable advise, i should be more realistic, here my weight lost sp far

week 1- 5lbs
week 2 - 4lbs
week 3 - 2lbs

even an average loss of 2lb a week would bring my loss to an average of 44lbs which is still brilliant,

i use ro eat very bad, i use to drink atleast 4 cans of soda, take aways, crisps, chocolate u name it and i has no poryion control, now thankfully i eat healthy, eat more. i am aware of calorie content and fat content, and i cook ally food.- i always cook with olive oil and never used any buttet/ spead
i feel my eating habits have really improved my health, the strength training i do twice a week with a trainer is slowly transforming my body, for example i can now do just after 3 weeks 100 reps at 40kg weight of leg presses

i am ambitious person msybe abit too ambitious lol but i am realisitc and sumtimes its nice that ppl are there for support x
