NSV - Woo-Hoo!!

  • I am type 1 diabetic. had it damn near my entire time on this planet. Shots, pills, pump, you name it, iv'e used it at one time or another without any luck. I just couldn't get good tight control of my blood sugars. A "normal" person's average blood sugar over a 3 month period should be 6.0% or less. my used to average 14%. I went on the pump a few years ago and finally got it to average 9%, which I thought was great. UNTIL TODAY.

I have now lost 50 lbs and doing water aerobics and/or walking for 30 to 60 mins 3-5 times per week. Eating healthy. counting calories. NO STARVATION. NO PILLS. NO TRICKS. NO GIMMICKS.

I went to the Endo and she said my blood sugar is 5.8% !!! that is less than the average joe and absolutely perfect! In fact, she said after I go back for one last blood test, she is releasing me from her care permanently and all I need to do is follow up with my family doctor every 6 months.

I still have a long, long way to go (90+ lbs to lose) but if I am doing this well after a 50 lb loss, I can only hope for good things down the road. First I found out I am cancer-free, now this.

All I can say is WOW.
