My 50 lb loss in 90 days (with pics)

Well this was exciting enough for my first post in the mini-goal forum.

I joined 3FC 3 months ago and have been on this process for the last 90 days. As of Saturday when I hit the official 90 day mark, I also hit my official 50 lbs lost mark.

Started at 260 and am down to 210.

I'm thankful to 3FC, reading and posting here has been a big contributor to my progress thus far. I've been posting regularly in this progress thread Randomcard's Progress Thread which has a lot of fun stuff about my successes and failures.

Progress Pics
I just posted progress pictures in my thread...
50 lb loss Before/After Pictures

While a lot of things have contributed to my progress, most of which are detailed in my thread, I can sum it up in a few key points....

Nutrition
Used TheDailyPlate to calorie count, goal of hitting 1800-2000 cals a day, but zigzagged quite a bit from that range. Focused on getting a lot of protein, low fat/carb, but did not technically restrict any foods. Drastically cut down on processed solo carby food (bread, chips, pasta, etc.). Completely changed how I eat on the road since I travel a ton.

Exercise
Working out 4-5 times a week in the gym. Never repeat the same exercises within a week. Mixed up cardio between machines, running, basketball, sprints, swimming, etc. Plenty of weight lifting interspersed. Incorproated a lot more physical activity into my day, especially in playing with my toddler.

What's Next
Still have 20 lbs to hit my current goal of 190. I think I'll be pretty pleased at that weight (although still considered quite high for my height). I might reevaluate, but don't want to to start losing muscle mass so we'll see.

Thanks to 3FC for letting a guy in here, and for all the fantastic advice, support, and inspiration I've received every day!

Maybe I need to show this to hubby for encouragement. He is 5'5" at 235. I worry about his health everyday. He worries too, but is too tired after work to exercise.
