50lbs down...

  • So I just wanted to share with anyone and everyone that I am now officially 50lbs lighter than my heaviest weight.

I still have 136 lbs to go, but slow and steady is winning this race.

How did I lose the 50lbs? Well, at first it started because I moved from the states to South Korea to teach English. Here in South Korea they eat much healthier than at home in the states and they walk EVERYWHERE. Rarely does a household have one vehicle. So the first 4 months I was here in SK, I lost about 20lbs. I joined a gym 2 months in and I followed a diet set up by my Korean personal trainer. Then I moved from the capital of South Korea, to an island about an hour off the southern most point. No gym, no diet, but still lots of walking.

Then about 4 weeks ago I decided I was ready to push myself to reach my goals. Not for anyone other than myself. So, I geared up. I chose the lifestyle change I was going to follow. I purchased vitamins, fish oils and garlic pills. I went in search of a scale so I could have a starting weight....which turned into a week long search. Finally found one. Stepped on the scale three weeks ago at 353lbs. Started calorie counting and working out in my own home to WATP video (the 2 mile ab workout).

I've lost 14lbs in these past 3 weeks and a total of 10 1/2 inches. I'm on the right path now to concur my goal by the end of this year.

I go home to the states after my contract is finished on July 1, 2010. I am determined to fit into the airplane seat comfortably for the ride home. I'm also determined to step off that plane a totally new and improved me and watch my friends and family's faces drop!

Thanks so much to 3 fat chicks forum. I'm lurking around on lots of different boards and threads. I really love it. I've joined the biggest loser challenge on 2 different boards. It helps keep me motivated and have a place to share my daily ups and downs.

Here's to another 136lbs to go!!!!!
