I had a business trip to Halifax this week and I knew it was going to be a challenge - it was a conference and all the food was included so I was faced with buffet breakfasts including fresh bagels with amazing seafood and garlic cream cheese spreads, roasted potatoes, eggs with chorizo sausage and more! Lunches were buffet as well with desserts like chocolate mousse cake, brownies and cheese cake...the afternoon snack was homemade strawberry shortcake and dinner was an appie, main course, dessert option.
It was SOOO tempting to indulge but I made it through the trip with eating fresh fruits and veggies, lean turkey for lunch and grilled halibut with salad greens for one dinner and grilled chicken with no oil on another. I even managed to get to the gym every day!
So happy that I didn't cheat on the trip and ended up wiht a weight loss this week.
