In August of 2008 I weighed two-hundred and ninety-eight pounds. I was frantic and called my doctor for Gastric. I was scared I would loose my life! I couldn't breathe easily at night, sometimes I felt I was choking. I couldn't walk up the street and if I did it took me a good fifteen minutes with stopping for breath.
I couldn't put my shoes on or even see my feet. I decided to take no pictures at being that high except for one, one picture my Love he took for me. I decided I needed to do something so he took one photo that has since changed my life. I now look back at that photo and can't believe that was me!
I started to watch what I ate and soon enough lost ten pounds by September, then by January I incorporated exercise and weights. Now by April I weigh in at 246 with 52 pounds gone!!
People always told me my height of 5'8 suited my weight, to the point I could carry it just fine eventhough I was morbidly obese.
I realize now that it isn't about avoiding that picture, its about a whole new lifestyle change, a whole new way of thinking. People will tell you what I have said thousands of times before but it is true.
I can get a good nights sleep now, I can run up the street. I have a ways to go still, but I am determined.
If I have made it this far there is no stopping me!
