Wooooooot!!!!!!
This morning I'm 194!!!! I haven't been this low in about 8 months!!! I've always been hovering between 204 and 196, and finally I broke through the 196 barrier! I can see the 180s down the road in plain sight!! And I think I know what's been helping me...
My DBF, who downs boxes of mac n' cheese for dinner, and about 3 pints of Ben and Jerry's a week, has lost 25lbs in the last 3 months. I've been punching him in the arm and cursing him (well not really). "What are you doing??!!!!" I'd yell (with a smile). "WHY ARE YOU LOSING WEIGHT!!!!!" He just laughs and says "I have no clue!!!"
Well, I've figured it out. He's been eating this stuff from Trader Joe's called "McCann's (sp?) Irish Oatmeal" for breakfast, about only 5 days a week. He puts milk and tons of sugar in it. I kept telling him he's counteracting the healthiness of the oatmeal. Guess I was wrong. Anyways, this oatmeal is seriously like "Uber-organic-Adam & Eve-natural-from-the-earth" oatmeal.
So I started having it for breakfast instead of fruit. It actually ups my breakfast calories. I eat two egg whites (just peeled off the hardboiled eggs) and then I have 1/2 cup of the dry Irish Oatmeal (hot water added) with cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of agave nectar for sweetness. I've been doing this for weekday breakfasts for the last 2 weeks.
Then last weekend hit. I ate CRAP from Thursday-Sunday. I think on Sunday I consumed over 2500 calories. I was feeling so bad about myself. I stepped on the scale Monday morning and was down to 196 from 199.
And this morning I'm down to 194!! I've also skipped all my morning cardio this week since I've been EXHAUSTED when I get up at 5am. I wanna break that bad habit, though.
But anyways, despite all these setbacks the only thing I've changed is the oatmeal. I don't wanna tout it as a 'miracle' food or anything, but I thought I'd just suggest it since I have serious evidence that it really does something! I mean, my DBF lost 25lbs!!!! He's the king of 'no-exercise' and 'let's get a dozen doughnuts for breakfast'. And he keeps getting skinnier and skinnier. Well now I'm getting skinnier and skinnier.

Yay!!!
