Mini-GoalsEven if you're not at goal yet, this is the place to share your successes and achievements along the way! Success can be measured in many ways besides the scales. Tell us about your triumphs, including Non Scale Victories
What do you say at that point, you wake up one morning thinking you are 450, and of course huge bigger than everyone you know except those on the Discovery Channel or so you "assume" and you go to the Doc office, step on that lovely digital scale and BOOM your pregnant and carrying another Back Street Boy. Well not in so many words but yeah, that was the drift. Another year of "butt" naps on the net and a new bouncing baby boy band to show for it.
That was about 4 months ago. My name is Xavier I am right around 585 now. I am getting on the scale on Monday and I am hoping that the start of something good will come into effect with outcome of these three little numbers. Worse case scenario 666 and it's all over I am moving to Montanna and starting the air diet. Best case scenario I am somewhere close to 550 or below.
I have been counting calories and becoming keenly aware of everything I put in my mouth. I drink more water than most pool filters and have a rye sarcastic overtone too boot, which sounds quite nicer to the ears than the buzzing of the pool filter.
My achievement my fellow board members has been this day, and everyone I have been given since that faithful day at the scale. This moment and grouping of moments will continue to be a great achievement for as long as I am here.
I am gonna walk normally again, I am gonna make it around a walmart without looking like someone's grandma. I am gonna live it to live and stop dying to eat and eat.
I dropped 15 lbs, and have learned how to take the hint, wonders do not cease. I am floored by some of the posts I have read here. I only hope to gain half the courage I see here, I imagine with that kind of fortitude all goals can be surpassed.
I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman on here once in a while who was in the same position as you and did it -- Kenny maybe? Any else remember him -- he has a little girl? But, anyway -- you can and will do this -- you are determined, you are ready and the more you lose the more energy you'll get -- best of luck!!!
I love your sense of humor, that will help you a lot. My son is not as tall as you . only 6'2'' and I don't know his heaviest weight but he has lost close to 200 pounds and gone down 12 pants sizes. He has done this thru diet, exercise and a lot of determination. You can do it, too.
Welcome Xavier, you have come to the right place for support and encouragement. I wish you the very best. The man that shelby is talking about above that has lost a great deal of weight and is doing fantastic is Charles. I believe his story is in the goal section.
Welcome! You have found a wonderful support system in 3FC. Come back often and let us know how you are doing and how we can help. As others have noted, your sense of humor will serve you well on this journey.
You CAN do this!!!! And we will help you any way that we can
Welcome Xavier!!! Congrats to you for deciding to make a change in your life and on the 15 lbs. lost. You've come to an excellent place for support and we all hope to see you around here very often.
No more "rye sarcasm"....too many carbs. Let's hear some more but of wry sarcasm. I couldn't resist a lil spelling humor..
What an awakening...for me it took a "rock bottom" moment as well. You CAN DO THIS. It ain't gonna be easy....it might not be pretty...but the rewards? Priceless.
I am looking forward to reading your posts and hearing of your progress! Get those "before" pics so we can all see the transformation.
Here's wishing you a motivated and healthly transition!
Welcome! It will be a long hard journey, but never forget that you are worth it!
Make sure you use the boards to help you through the hard times, and to share with us all of your successes!
Welcome, you have stumbled upon a gold mine of support and motivation. I wish you luck to get healthy and fit in '08! Can't wait to share in your successes!
