Default 1/4 of my overall weight lost! Yay reached my first 2 mini-goals!

I should say, I'm at the quarter point of my weight loss goal lol.
As of this morning, I am down 25 lbs from the 255 I weighed on August 4th (wedding day) - mini goal 1

On August 4th, my BMI was 38.8 (Severely Obese)
I have now officially reached 35 (Obese) - Mini goal 2

I've dropped 2 lbs per week over the past couple of weeks by walking 20 km's per week. I've noticed If I go over that my weight seemed to stall a bit... does that make any sense?? Odd!

Anyway, yay for me *not usually the bragging sort*

Wow, congratulations! Thatīs a BIG loss!! You are doing great! 20 kms a week? wow, keep the good work and all the pds will melt away!

Ahh no idea why the loss may stall if u walk more, maybe u build muscle, or ur body thinks its "war time" (sorry, thatīs the expression in spanish.. "war economy", but I donīt know if it makes sense in english) and drops the metabolism. Actually Iīm just guessing but probably someone here will know!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thanks

I can deffinately feel much more muscle then I ever remember having in my legs buttox and abs

"War time" makes sense to me

I may start introducing some weights to my activities. I have 5 lb dumbells, it's not much, but my husband (who was originally a body builder before he met me *see pic below*) says that it's perfect for beginning. Once the 5 lbs seems just too easy... to work up to 10 lbs and so on.

This is a pic from the year I first met Todd He's gained a bit of weight (not muscle) since he met me lol.

Default cheers to you!

That's really great. Congrats. I love the mini goal options. 2lb per week, wow! What plan are you doing? I also started walking, speed walking, and your results will make me even more motivated. Good luck!

The 20 km is mostly speed walking... it's too darned cold outside to just walk at a normal pace LOL.

The 2 lbs may also be accounted for my not being able to keep down my cheat meals over the last couple of weeks LOL. Todd and I would go out for pizza and wings every friday night. The last couple of weeks I would end up being sick a couple hours of eating. My body can't handle the greasy foods as much anymore lol.

OUr cheat next week will be going out to Red Lobster. Maybe I'll be better off eating a nice plate of crab (with no butter... I've never been big on butter on my crab... I know it's strange).
