Default Sometimes I forget how much progress I've made - random update!!

I found the memory card to my old camera, back from when I was at my highest weight. I saw that picture of me from the side, and was shocked. And embarrassed. I was only 16 in that picture... how sad. I took the other one just this past weekend, when trying on clothes. I compared them and I was really surprised. I've been doing a lot of strength training and I think it shows. I don't have trouble maintaining the majority of my loss, I have trouble just keeping on the weight loss course. Don't know why, I think I lose interest easily.

I still have a ways to go though, I'm not sure what my goal weight is anymore, but probably lower than the 160 I put. When I was at my HW, I couldn't imagine even losing 100, so 160 was my dream weight.

Anyway:

260 vs. 189ish?

Mini-update everyone!

I ended up in Forever 21 on Sunday with a friend, and decided to try some stuff on for kicks and giggles. Just as a side note, I have ALWAYS wanted to shop there but never could. I was seriously the awkward fat friend waiting in front of the dressing rooms all through high school. The desire to shop there has always been a landmark point in my head... a huge huge HUGE mini-goal of mine.

I thought everything was going to rip when I tried to get it over my head, but to my shock EVERYTHING FIT! HOLY CRAP OMG! I even bought this dress (for 13 bucks, YEAAAH).

Excuse the smiley face, I suck at making faces for mirror pictures and it looked quite ridiculous, so I covered it up lol. 184 here (not my room, by the way haha):

Oh my gosh, what a difference!! In your before picture, you look so dejected and defeated. I wish I could give that girl a hug! Now you're standing tall, with confidence. You should be proud of yourself!! And I would say that your strength training really is paying off because you don't look anything close to your scale weight. Even if you never lost another pound, you look fabulous. Congratulations!

You look amazing. I have a friend who's your height and has gotten down to 160 without exercise and doesn't look half as good as you do.

OMG. I'm so jealous of how good you look!! I weigh 160 now and you look 100x better than I do. Congrats!!! Keep up the good work and you'll look even more drop dead gorgeous than you do now (if it's even possible).

Awww haha thanks everyone! You guys are so sweet!

And Meg, thank you. You really hit the nail on the head. I wanted to to disappear so badly back then, and it was really apparent in how I carried myself. I'm really not even the same person anymore....

natalie-

You look terrific! Isn't it great to look back at the pictures and really realize how much progress you've made?

Keep that picture close so you won't be tempted to slip back into old ways. I wish you the very best with the rest of your journey.
