  • Thanks and organization probably and a great support system helps too! I always plan my groceries by what I am making for that week. I used to buy just all the healthy stuff and then I'd feel overwhelmed because produce was going bad and I had no idea what to make for lunches and dinners because I felt stressed with all the products I had to use up. I also always consider having leftovers that I can freeze for later use. I don't keep anything unhealthy in my fridge and don't put produce in the drawers, that way I will see it and not forget to use it. I also do the same with my cupboards. I am shorter so I put stuff I can't have way up on the top shelf and I don't see it and therefore am not tempted to eat it.
My support system is my fiance. He eats healthy with me usually and if he doesn't he reminds me that it isn't as good as it looks. Sometimes when I just want to cheat he talks me out of it. He tells me, "you are just hungry, go eat something healthy and then you'll forget about cheating." I do as he says and it works! haha. One other thing is if I end up cheating in a day I always know that I am going to get back on track. For me there is no not ever getting back on track, which is why most people fail. They say, "maybe tomorrow I will get back on track". I always know that I will go back to eating healthy because it is a lifetime choice of mine from now on to be the healthiest I can be.
Yes I do have some excess skin but not terribly bad. I don't fret over it too much because I know that I am way healthier than I used to be so I am happy. Maybe once I hit my goal I will start worrying more though but I don't know. I try to do weight lifting to tone up and to help prevent it. Also, I have a lotion that has vit. E and A in it and I have read that both help with excess skin.
