  • Quote: camaswa-I'm still loving metabalance. I feel so much better mentally and physically. Getting ready to go out for a run which i wasn't able to do before. I would say I am satisfied eating. Never full and still get slightly hungry, but usually by then it's time for a small snack And now that I'm exercising I lost an inch off my lower tummy which I haven't been losing much there in comparison to the rest of my body.
what are some good exercises for lower belly? that's the only place i seem to be holding on to weight and plz don't tell me to try cortitrim! :-) i'm sure it's because im on the computer so much for job, sitting down and then jump on FB and this website....i need an IPAD (company is supposed to be getting them for us) so figured i can jump on exercise bike and do FB, email, etc. :-)
  • bigdog-those turkey muffins of Jamie Eason's are awesome! Low abs...for me running, plank holds, and especially the basic pilates mat series helps the most. I don't know why running does a better job than walking for me, maybe the posture I keep or extra calories I burn, but it does help with that and my butt. Pilates are huge for helping me prevent injury. I DO NOT do cortitrim nor will I.

Tonight I made my own italian turkey meatballs...if I remember right I used 2 lbs turkey, 1 slice bread (35 cal), 1 egg, a bunch of chopped green onion, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt. They were super yummy. I put them on top of spagetti squash with a homemade tomato sauce (tomatoes, spices, green peppers)...it was good. Oh, and then my "garlic bread" (toast 35 calorie bread, little spray butter, little garlic powder). "dessert" was 1/2 c fage (greek yogurt) with a kiwi melon HNS mixed in (best part of metabalance is yogurt).

i've never done Pilates...i'll have to try that. the meatballs sound great, i'm saving the recipe - Yum! i'm on Metaslim but i do eat Greek yogurt for a protein (it's so high in protein - i'll have for lunch w/ blueberries or strawberries) not on plan but to me it's the same amount of protein (actually higher) and carbs compared to cottage cheese. i eat SF FF jello too (it's 10 cal.) Jello didn't put all this weight on me and great when i'm craving dessert.
  • Pilates wise there are tons of DVD's...if you have netflix there are several different ones on there. I like the pick your level pilates on there. If you are going to buy one, I like anything by Mari Winsor.

  • Help!!!
I "officially" started the Beige menu on Wednesday. The counselor also advised me to use All Day Weigh Loss, MRC-6, Corislim, Fish Oil, and Multi-Vitamin.

Since I started the program, I haven't been hungry which is a great thing BUT...

I have had diarrhea bad enough that I have had to take medicine since Friday...and Friday and Saturday, I have had the worst stomach pain in the world.

It is strange because none of this starts until I take the first round of pills in the morning....

    For instance...right now....I feel fine. I haven't taken any medicine and I haven't eaten.

I don't know if this is some kind of virus, something that my body is not agreeing with in the meds or just normal reaction to the different way of eating.

Have any of you had anything similar happen?
  • RNClose,
For what it's worth, I'm not taking any of their supplements. Even multi-vitamins tend to make me nauseous, so I'm doing chewables for now since they don't seem to make me feel bad. If I were you, I'd follow the plan perfectly and skip all the pills, but it's totally your call. Maybe at least give yourself a break from them for a couple of days?

  • I make my own turkey meatballs, turkey meatloaf muffins and turkey sausage and freeze them . Last week made 3 dozen turkey meatballs. I make a spaghetti sauce that I use to make on stove for hours in a crockpot and use those turkey meatballs right in the sauce. They are wonderful.. All three I use lots and they sure helped me get to maintenance. One of my breakfasts on the run is a veggie egg quiche muffin and a turkey sausage. It goes to show one, that we can make all these items with no supplents from the center. Big Dog you are correct, I posted the turkey muffins in the recipe forum.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Is there anywhere that I can find out the nutritional information for the meal bars and the protein drinks? I'd like to try and find some less expensive replacements.

the fish oil gives me diarrhea so I dont take as much as they say. Why dont you stop all the pills, then introduce them one at a time and see if/when the discomfort starts up again. Sometimes people react to all the artificial sweeteners too. Good luck!

go to Diet Direct and all of their products have the nutritional info listed. from what i've read on these posts, the Protidiet brand is the closest to what MRC sells. so i compare what i want to get to those products so it's similar.
Nashua Nutrition is also a good site to go to. i always shop the sales! :-)
