So today was a really bad day....and it just kept getting worse. First I had to go to work, which I wasn't planning on doing, but at the last minute, an admissions rep said she was bringing in students to be seen by financial aid, and then she never even showed up! So then me and my fiance went to go check in at MRC...I lost a half a pound, my fiance lost 4 lbs., and then had the nerve to say that he'd been cheating and eating cookies and junk food while I've been depriving myself. So that was a big blow, seeing as how I've been OP 100% this whole time, and only lost another 1/2 lb, so it would make it 5.5 lbs total, while my fiance has been OP about 80% of the time, and has lost 9 lbs total.
Now I'm really craving a chocolate chip cookie, like to the point where my stomach is actually hurting because I want it sooo bad... I'm not going to give in, but it is really annoying to have to deal with it, especially when I know I can't satisfy my sweet tooth.
Don't feel bad hon. Sometimes I get those cravings too. I had tough cravings for McDonalds Nuggets this week. So we all have cravings. I don't crave salt much or sugar unless it is in its natural form. Just see it as being a part of your journey hon. Good luck!
The cravings are part of the journey. It is so hard to say no, I feel your pain. But, as I've said before, saying no is like using a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. If you say no to this really tough craving, it will be easier the next time and easier the time after that. By a few months into the plan, I could pack my kids' lunches with bulk m&m's and not be tempted. But, it takes hard work!
Also, don't compare your journey to anyone else. This is what YOU chose to do for you, not your fiance. I know it's hard, believe me. I'm married to Mr. Discipline and have kids who have superhero metabolisms. I had to get over it and realize that this was about ME and what I had to accomplish. You can do this! You will not die if you don't have that cookie. You may be pissed, but you'll be stronger tomorrow! And you will have some sassy diva attitude at goal!

You are so right about me not needing to compare myself to him. Overall, I've still had some good weight loss going on, so I'm pretty happy about that! And I didn't have that darn cookie, either. I settled for a HNS, which pretty much cured my craving for the time being. Thanks for the support!
I cure my sugar craving by emptying a mrc chocolate drink (creamy) into a tray of ice cubes and sticking them in the freezer. Then you can blend them in the blender once they are frozen and it is like ice cream. I just pop my chocolate ice cubes out of the tray and put them in a bowl. I like it that way just b/c it takes longer to eat and I can savor the chocolate more.

That sounds sooooo good!! I'm going to definitely try that tonight! I have been wanting ice cream for a while now...and it's still OP!
Blueberries do it for me, and its like eating candy if they are good and cold. I could the whole container, but I portion them out for just that reason I don't like to freeze them as they can get kinda mushy, but definitely a good sweet treat and totally program acceptable!
I like to mix the Protieni grape juice into popscicle makers (tupperware or similar) I can't eat grapes so this is my sinful treat for summer...
I love the orange slices I will have to try that one... Sounds refreshing. Citrus is a great way to naturally curb cravings. Lemon in H2O works nice too...
