So I have been with MRC since the beginning of march, but due to a job loss I am not able to by the HSN. I have tryed to use the Whey Protein and gained about 2lbs back, so I finally talked to my center today and told them what is going on. They put me back on the pre-condtitioning menu till I am able to afford my HSN again, which hopefully will be with the next month as my new job starts next week. So after all that I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has re started the pre-conditioning menu once you have been on the other menu's for a while. I am so afraid I am going to gain weight, as I have been loosing very slowly...

Hahaha! I started noticing that right around 30-40 lbs, too! I Still catch myself "fondling" my collar bones when I'm not paying attention. I'm just not used to seeing/feeling them! ;)

Me too! I hadn't been able to wear my ring since October sometime because it got too loose, and more so when my fingers were cold. I was afraid I would lose it. We have a wedding to go to this weekend, so I decided to go ahead and get it resized last week; just picked it up on Tuesday. I went down about 1 1/2 sizes. What a difference!

Yes - here are some of the things I noticed -
For the group 1 proteins egg whites are the lowest, followed by eggs, cottage cheese and hard cheeses (these are a lot higher in calories than the eggs)

The group 2 proteins are typically higher in calories than the groups 1 and 3, but there are exceptions. I was really surprised to find out that albacore tuna actually has more calories than some of the choices from the group 2 list.

I find this information interesting and I think our bodies each respond differently to different foods. I'm not really as concerned about the overall calorie count as I am interested in finding patterns. - for example in the beginning I ate a wide variety of food, recently I have migrated to about 3-4 recipies and salads and around that time started to stall. I decided this week to start changing things up a bit (different fruits and veggies, a variety of protiens from all groups). I don't know if it will help, but we will see.

If you stick to the menu the plan will work and in the beginning it is especially important to keep things simple and get the basics down - drinking water, staying on plan and eating at the right times.

Britt- Thanks for the lessons can't wait to try them at home.

Last week of school and I am doing everything I can to stay away from all the good-bye treats from the kids. This is torture, but I have recommited myself. I have 8 lbs to go and am going to get there!! I made a chain with my kids that I will pull one loop off for every pound I loose until I get there. My birthday is in two weeks and all I want is one beer! I'm hoping I will be back on stabilization and one beer won't set me back 5 days.

Congratulations, Nicole!!! I'm so excited for you. Not to mention, that's a great idea about getting the kids involved. They will keep you honest. ;)

I'm starting to notice that my rings are getting pretty loose too. I just had them repaired in December because my wedding ring had to be cut off. :( That was a bad day. Luckily, gold is easily repaired. So it's so bizarre that they are getting to be too big.

Mariah...
I noticed if I changed things up and add more variety, I would lose after a stall. Center suggested I do that after reviewing my journals. Hope it helps you.

Need help with brownie recipe..

Mine did not come out like a brownie at all. I used the hot cocoa with it, not the chocolate pudding..

I put in microwave for 45 minutes, and it was still loose.. I put in for a few seconds more and it never came out cake like, just a thick mushy mess. LOL.
However, be assured I ate it, as anything with chocolate has my name on it, and where it was only one serving, I knew I was safe, as nothing around to have a problem with.

Any suggestions on what happened, or what I could do next time?

Thanks,
Patzi

Sorry everyone I have not been on in a while. Mid April I hit my goal of 125 lbs loss, 125.25 inches. I am now in the process of toning up those problem areas, but I could not be happier and I feel great.:D:D:D:D

Thanks for all the words of encouragement...I do have some concerns though...I can barely make it through a 30 minute Curves circuit each day because I have no energy, zilch.....And I hate to say this out loud but somedays I think I am not getting enough fuel for my body to function properly. I had someone with a nutrition and excersise science degree explain to me that if I am only eating 800-900 calories a day and burning off 600-700 in a workout that my body is only functioning on a small number of calories, therefore your body wants to hang on to them and not let them go.....??I'm just reaching here...I just have no energy!!
