Curious what you have found to be the best ways for losing weight with insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome? Could you leave me some tips? Thanks so much!

I'm insulin resistant, and I've had great success so far on the Metabolic Research Center program. It is a high-protein diet based on the glycemic index.

I use the Weight Watchers Momentum plan and keep the carbs as complex as possible -ie. no white rice, only multigrain products and zero simple carbs from processed foods- I don't care what the points are, that stuff is poison to us. When I do have carbs that have a higher glycemic index I try to balance it out with protein. So far so good - and my blood sugar is soooooooo much more stable

Default South Beach all the way.

Ive done weight watchers and calorie counting and suzzane somers..ive tried all different kinds of shakes and i find the easiest for me is South Beach. I feel way more in control now because my blood sugar isnt everywhere and i dont crave stuff like i used to and ive lost weight..so..im happy with it.. i will probably never go back to eating a high carb type lifestyle..

Thanks Ladies. I have done Sugar Busters in the past and am thinking I may do it again but I want to check out some others before deciding.
