declaration of recommitment!
Hey everyone!
I've gotten off track over the past couple of months due to some family issues I've been dealing with. My stress-eating hasn't helped me maintain my (4 pounds from goal weight) weight and now I'm up about 15 lbs. I know that several of those lbs are water weight and I'm anxious to make it through this first week totally back on plan so I can then survey the true damage I've done. Making my declaration to everyone on the MRC board that I'm recommitting myself to the diet and to my health will hopefully help keep me accountable! Best wishes to all of us out there working hard to reach our goal!:D |
good luck!

Hey Goose, you can do it! I am back on track and am going to lose what I can by the 12th of May.. I already told them I would not resign so looks like I had better do what I got to do.. We are all here right with you..
Cheers! Ronnie |
I wanted to share this statement as it helps me get through this journey...
"Understand that weight loss comes in steps. I always tell my patients to set their goal at losing 10 pounds, even if they have several hundred pounds to lose. Saying one is going to lose 300 pounds is like leaning over the top of the Empire State building and looking straight down. It can be a dizzying and sometimes frightening experience. On the other hand, if you take the stairs, you can't see the bottom—only the few steps that are ahead. With weight loss, we take a few steps at a time. When we make the first goal of 10 pounds, then we can tackle the next 10 pounds and so on. Every 10 pounds is a major accomplishment, and with every 10 pounds comes better health, no matter what your starting weight." —Dr. Paul Bradle |
Welcome back! I'm going to jump on the band wagon with you...
I fell off program too (for 5 days) and my weight sky-rocketed (15 lbs!). We have to remember that this journey is a process and as long as we don't wallow, we'll perservere. |
I only lost half of the 71 lbs that I was suppose to lose while signed up with MRC (my fault - no one else's). I have been maintaining at about 35 lbs lost up until this week, up 6 lbs. I was determined to lose the other 35 lbs without MRC, but don't have the determination I once had. Trying over starting today.

You can always start over.. You just make the decision to go with it, then do it! It is not like we are lost to weight loss forever if the stumble along the way. Every day is new day and another opportunity to make things right again.. There are always do overs:)

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement! It really helps to know I'm not in this alone. Today marks Day 2 of being completely and totally on plan...I haven't been able to say that in awhile and it sure feels good!
