Unhappy Over 50 & Over Weight!

Hi guys!
This is my return to MRC after about 5 years, I didn't complete the program the first time and have gained it all back plus some. I'm on day 6 and am already starting to get discouraged!! I lost 2 1/2 pounds on the pre-conditioning, started Meta-Slim Plus and lost 5 pounds in 3 days. The next day I had gained back 2 pounds, that was day 4 this is day 6 and I've gained 2 more pounds! I know I shouldn't weigh everyday but I do. I have not gone OP at all this time! Can anyone give me any suggestions? I drink from 64 to 96 oz of water every day. Could it be that I am older than I was the first time I was on MBC?

I too need a buddy I can talk to that is why this seems like it would be such a great site. Thanks to anyone that replys!!!!

btw, how do you get the weight tracker?

I am 57. Went from a size 22-24 to a 14 between Aug 09 and Dec 09, and still going! This is a TIME commitment, but it really does come off pretty fast. And please don't weigh every day -- nothing uplifting about doing that -- seriously! And don't forget, sometimes although your weight is not coming down, your measurements are. I drink about 128 oz of water daily, max on 4 hns per day, 3 fibers, cortitrim, multivitamin, 12 omegas daily, and totally love the MRC plan. Be patient and just do what your plan says and TRUST the decision you have made. Should you continue not to see a loss, your center may need to tweak your plan!

Also, I began with very minimal walking, but now walk about 20-25 miles weekly. Wow, literally lost my but doing that.

oh, and there is some rule on here that you can't have a tracker until you have been on for a certain amount of time. forget how long that is though!

Welcome nenelv14! I am curious to hear how your first experience with MRC went 5 years ago. I'll be 50 this summer (what is it about that number?!?!?) and I don't think my age has played into my weight loss at all. I am not taking any of the supplements at MRC. I drink the HNS and take my own vitamin and flax. I wanted to see how my body would respond to the diet without the extra pills (not to mention extra expense.) I'm sort of an obsessive weigher which I find comforting - I can see what happens as the day goes along. I don't take any afternoon or evening weights to heart, though. I know that first weight in the morning is the truest picture. Don't forget that if you're going from drinking almost no water (like I was), to drinking 64 to 96 oz of water everyday, that is going to weigh something. It is super important to get your water in, so it's great to hear that you're doing so well with that. Just give it some time and you'll settle into a routine. You'll do great! And, you're smart to look for support. This is a great place for that.

Joy and Lola Jean, thanks for the imput. Don't get me wrong, I love MRC that is why I came back. My husband even says the $$ is ok, better than Dr. and hospital bills. (bad family history) I am now 53 and larger than I've ever been...PAST time to get this done. The first time I went from 207 to 170 a size 14/16 to a 7/8. I just didn't finish the program and didn't make it a LIFE change...so it all came back and more...I started at 235 this time and in size 16/18. I'm glad I can talk to others doing the same thing I am. You two have done GREAT, I'm so proud for you! I look forward to joining you in the success lane!!!!
