I feel awful. Last week was a train wreck diet wise. I went on a LONG overdue girl's trip one part of the week and had a mini vacay with the kids the other part of the week. I drank way too much on the girl's trip and ate WAY too much on the kids trip.
I'm back on plan but I know I've gained 5 lbs back. I'd only lost 7 since I'm pretty new.
Has anyone else had a major trainwreck week? What did they say at the center? That's my biggest fear... ack.

They are there to help you....to get you back on track. Don't worry that you had a "cheat" or a "mistake" start today back on plan and get your water back up to where it needs to be to flush everything out. Then go in and let them know you had a bump but you are back on your way. They will ask you what you need from them in order to get to where you want to be. If you need something let them know. Remember you are paying them to help you....use it!
Phatmama-- those 5 pounds you already lost and gained back over the "cheat week" just water weight anyway....... itll come off as fast as it came back on...... get back on plan, and in 3 or 4 days tops, itll be gone
Don't be afraid to go back in the center...If there is a consultant that you like above another, maybe call and set an appt with that particular person. I know there's one at my center that I wouldn't want to see after a bad week...she's just not as supportive.
Anyway, they'll understand it won't be the first time they've seen that...probably not even the first time that day unless you're there first thing in the morning.
life happens! I 'beat myself up' more then they couold. They didn't lecture - just ask how I planned to handle issue next time....gave me some suggestions etc. Good luck!

If you have a consultant you like at your center, call and make an appointment to see her/him. I think that's one thing I miss, having a relationship with someone you can be honest with who will be supportive and truly tries to understand. By all means, get back there today if you can, so that your train wreck (as you called it ... lol) doesn't turn into an avalanche! Like Denise always told us, take the next exit, make a u-turn and get back on your original path. Just don't get so distracted that you say "what the heck ... I already blew it, so it doesn't matter." It does matter and you can do it!!!
I had a week like this right after I started. I took my daughter to Walt Disney World for a week. I had such great plans to be on program and eat great while we were there.. Needless to say it did not happen that way. I had a hard time finding healthy food the first day, so I basically gave up. I ate off plan the whole time I was gone. My one big consulation was that we walked so much while we were there, that I ended up maintaining what I'd already lost. In my head I had expected to gain at least 5 lbs..
I just got right back on program the day after we got home. The center was super supportive. They all know that we have lives and sometimes life gets in the way..
Ok ladies I bit the bullet and went back in yesterday. You guys were so right! I did talk to one of the ladies who I felt most comfortable. She said sometimes a mommy needs a break from everything and she was glad I went and had a good time now let's get back on program!
I was actually down a pound not sure how that happened except maybe the extra activity.
Anyways so glad I went back before I completely blew my weight loss. Now I'm still on target and they gave me 2 weeks free because the center didn't have the HNS that I wanted last time!
Phatmama,
You are still new to the program and it is not a habit yet as much as it will be after you have been on the program for a while. Your week was part of the "learning a new habit" steps. After I had been on program a while, I was able to say no to temptations and make the right choices because I didn't think - just do the habit - Taco Bell? 2 chicken burritos - no sour cream or gaucamole, extra lettuce and tomatoes, ate half of one tortilla (embarrassed the h*ll out of my son though, my trying to get 4 oz protein, 8 oz salad veggies!)
GWE, or anyone that can help, I thought I read in a previous thread that you were doing Metabalance?
If so I just have a question or two, the center is telling me to start on that menu because I've been feeling sluggish and extremely tired mid morning before lunch sometimes mid afternoon. I have been exercising more and I'm just not sure if that is the right move. I will be seeing my doctor next week to just talk to her but I am get in good health and have lost 30lbs, but my BMI is two points away from the healthy range and my body fat is 2 points away from the healthy range. That is the only reason that I have not went into stabilization. I guess I'm freaking because it's more food and I don't want to gain my weight back. Any thoughts??

Sexyrene, the Metabalance saved my life I was struggling with not losing and was in starvation mode by not eating ENOUGH on the green menu. I was told by my center that individuals that are more active (exercise), athletes or diabetics are put on the Metabalance as it balances your "sugar" levels throughout the day. I was so tired and could hardly get through the day on the green menu as my exercise (running) increased. As soon as I started the Metabalance I lost 4lbs the first week...I did not see a decrease in my weight loss by the switch as my body needed the more balanced menu...As I started training seriously for a half marathon even the Metabalance menu could not support my body needs so I completely stopped MRC plans to train and now after training and finishing the race I am now back on plan to reach my goal weight...I am trying to run 16 miles a weeks, and not the 26+ I was during my training. After I complete the yellow and blue menus I will go back on Metabalance and not the green menu as I just can not function on it while burning an additional 600-900 a day during my run. To be honest when I was feeling sluggish and tired during the day on the green menu I just ate a MRC protein bar and felt better, it was only when my weight wasn't moving and my running increased that I switched. I lost 60lbs before training and yes I gained back some weight but a lot of it is muscle weight from training for 3 months and water retention so my opinion is if you are still showing good numbers on the scale on the green menu then maybe you just need to max out on the HNS rather than change your plan as you are so close to stabilization...I only switched because I wasn't dropping in weight and felt like crap! Because as you enter into stabilization you will be introducing more food back into your diet and this alone might help you rather than learning a different eating plan. I know I am rambling ....sorry but maybe you could try the Metabalance for a week and see how you feel...Others I have spoken with have switched from green to metabalance based on their exercise schedule, exercise days metabalance and non-exercise days green...of course this is not encouraged or recommended by MRC but it has helped others continue to lose and feel good doing so. Sorry this is long....Genell
