I weighed in last night. No weight change from my mid-week weigh-in. Normally I lose most of the weight in the 2nd half of the week. Frustrating, but I did lose 3 pounds from last week overall.
I measured myself as well (don't have a center near me) and lost 2 inches from last week. I started preconditioning Jan. 18 and so far have lost 26 pounds and 25 3/4 inches. I'm doing awesome, I know that, but I still don't see the changes everyone else says they see.
I am going to Phoenix later this week and am hoping to be down 30 pounds and 1 size. Not sure I'm going to make it, but here's to keeping my fingers crossed!
You are doing great!! There was a thread a while back on how many of us who have lost 20-30 pounds are still wearing the same clothes size. Yeah, everything is loser but the same size. Of course when I started my pants were stretched to the max and I had that whole muffin top thing going on.
I bet if you took a picture of yourself now, wearing the same clothes you wore for your pic when you first signed up with MRC you would see a tremendous difference.
megs - your loss is great! It took me 45lbs to get down to the next size...just depends on where you're losing it and how tight your clothes started. Hang in there
One way to really see the loss is to take a picture of yourself. When you look in the mirror everyday its hard to see the changes but looking at a picture really shows the difference.

Thanks ladies! Actually I did look at before and after pics (of my face). My husband even pointed out the differences, and I still don't see it! My brain must be stubborn!
On a positive note, I did have to wear a belt today to keep my jeans up! I think my rear is finally doing some shrinking.

I don't see it either. I have taken pics, but my brain doesn't register. I know I look better.. but still I see my flaws. I think it's because we have spent so much time as "fat girls" that even when we lose, our brain doesn't register it yet.
Hang in there.. Our brain will catch up to our butts..
Give it time...I was the same way. I couldn't see the difference at all my first time OP. I lost nearly 75lbs before I FINALLY looked at a pic of me and realized how different I looked. It's crazy. Plus...we see ourselves naked every day and the little differences kinda fade when you're still looking at how far you have to go.
Wait until you first see your collar bone or feel your bones in your butt against a hard chair...or lay weird on your hip bone. For me, feeling is believe...seeing is a big fat liar!
I've been noticing my collar bone this week, I'll catch a look in a mirror or window and am so excited to see it because I love collar bones! It's the little things!
I don't mean to be a downer but I hit a plateau around 20 lbs and didn't really start to show weight loss significantly until 50 lbs. But each person is different and I'm sure one day you'll wake up and your pants will fall off. That's fun!
Taking a picture everyday is a great idea- anyone see that video on you tube of the guy who took a picture of himself everyday for a year? I can't remember that name but it was cool to see his hair change and actually look a little older.
Susie you're not a downer! I think I've hit a couple plateaus, but they only lasted a week or so. I'm confident I'm going to hit 30 pounds this week and I think that pant size will drop in the next week or so...I hope!
This was the conversation I had recently with my fiance`. I don't see myself as others do. I guess I'm still fixated on the weight I still need to lose. It is finally starting to sink in though. I went wedding dress shopping and one salon encourages you to take pictures. If my face didn't show in the picture, I wouldn't have thought it was me. I printed a picture of my dress from the designers website and also one of me in the dress and had them put it in my file at MRC. It looks ok now, but can't wait until I lose the rest of my belly.
