Default HNS & Recipes

Question:

For the MRC cookbook recipes that call for HNS packets… Have you ever substituted anything for them? It seems like waste of money to me to use the packets b/c they are kind of expensive. I mean if they don’t count to your daily HNS unless you have a whole one…wouldn’t that be wasteful? Some recipes call for 4 packets. Just curious..Thanks!

I agree I have a hard time making those recipes if I'm not counting it as HNS for the meal...I pretty much just skip over those recipes unless it just looks too good to pass up then try to substitute Mrs. Dash seasonings or something close if I think it's needed otherwise I just leave it out and modify the recipe on my own
