Mixed berry is my favorite too! I like the flavor of the fulfill fiber drink too. I have a few unopened boxes in the pantry....I just need to try them out (got kinda comfortable with the berry & lemonades).

I'm so looking forward to collecting a bag of clothes on a regular basis as I go down in sizes!!!

Any other motivation advice for new people?

That is such a good idea!!!!!

I am in the same boat....6oz of meat is way way too much and I am SO picky about veggies..Ive talked to my center and said most the time i get in about 4oz but 6oz is just crazy..ive tried breaking it up but its just alot. In th AM i can add cheese so that helps.. I also bought a food processor this weekend to help with the veggies b/c i dont like textures of a lot of foods LOL.. I *think* this will get better. I enjoy making new things from the cook book. I've had so much trouble eating this much that the center told me to go ahead and try the meal replacement bars sometimes. I guess i just ate mostly carbs before. As far as cravings for carbs..that really went away after the first week...

My fav HNS right now is orange...then grape..I bought the pink lemonade powder kind and it tastes strange but i think i can get it down..the chicken bouillon was awful I kept a couple to cook with and traded the rest in!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I am super excited...I really hope to stick with MRC and be able to wear any dress I want OMG that would be amazing. I didn’t start MRC b/c of getting married but its defiantly a motivator lol.

Even though that is a great idea, and i am totally in the same boat, but i just think (i am Dutch so i am cheap lol), that its a waste of money to 'give away' old clothes. Currently 99% of my closet us useless to me, but i'd feel kinda bad for giving away clothes that cost me a fortune ( and BIG size clothes do cost a fortune), all those business suits, fancy shirts, about 12 pair of jeans :/

I think i might put them on ebay :D

(again remember i am Dutch, so very cheap :p)

I actually feel better about giving away plus size clothes than I do regular size because… Its so hard to find plus size clothes at 2nd hand shops. So I feel like it gives other bigger people something to choose from. Plus I have a lot of business type clothes from work so that makes me feel even better! I work for a non-profit and a lot of the parents of our children need clothes so I feel like it’s going to a good cause when I donate a bag or two. Plus I love shopping for new things for myself! It’s not being wasteful to help someone else! BUT hey if you can get money for them…its worth a shot too…I’m not rolling in money so I can understand being frugal too.

Congrats! I agree, 5 is an awesome number! I saw in another post that you were going to be moving but didn't know where to. Moving can be fun and yet not. Hope your's will be a good one.

SalaamDementia 02-16-2010 02:35 PM

I'm moving to Loveland in May, which I'm a bit bummed about since I don't really want to change centers. But other than that it will be a good move.

And thanks for the congrats everyone! I was super shocked to see the -5 lbs, guess it was just a good week or something. :)

kimmermarie19 02-16-2010 02:52 PM

First official WI today...down 3 lbs! Yea! Total of 6.5 lbs since I started 2/6 :)

Hvnlymzic 02-16-2010 07:03 PM

Congrats to lots of people!!
*Bunny, congrats on the engagement! (wait until that shiny ring is too big, thats an awesome feeling...mine slides off alot now).
*Kimmer, Congrats on your first loss!! I remember that one. SO exciting :)
*Congrats to all the people stepping down in clothes sizes. :) I'm anxiously waiting. I've got clothes in 3 sizes smaller from my last MRC adventure and I just can't quite get into them. Proof that I gained this weight differently after having my son. Crazy.

My WI is tomorrow. All I'm hoping for is a half pound so I can get my 40lb rock. I'd love have more, but I haven't been very good OP this last week, so if I get the half pound, I'll be a happy girl. Measurements are tomorrow too. Big day.
