hi everyone. i'm new to the forum, but i've been on mrc since sept. i've lost 30lbs and i'm half way to my goal of 150. i'm concerned because my body is no where near where i want it to be, still have a lot of inches to loose in my mid section and it doesn't even seem like i've lost any in my arms. the only place i can really notice it is in my legs/hip area. i'm hoping to be done by the end of march and really focus on staying on plan and working out, but it just seems hard now. all of my clothes fit in my closet fit me again, so it would be really easy to stop now. if i drop another size i'll have to get new clothes. my goal with the center was the end of feb, but i was so off plan between christmas and new years that i set myself back and gained 3lbs. one thing that really encouraging is that i haven't been this small in a 4 years. and i've never been at my goal weight as an adult so i'm so curious to see what i will look like then. i don't want to struggle with my weight the rest of my life so i'm really trying to stay motivated and do this program completely through. anyone with any advice or in the same boat?
Celebrate how far you've come, you've done awesome!! What an inspiration you are. Question-are you doing weights or toning excercises? If not, that might explain why you aren't as toned as you'd like to be. Just try adding some of that into what you're already doing. Congrats!!
You've done a great job! I would so encourage you to stick with it and get to your goal. You might even find yourself lowering your goal. I've lowered it 15 pounds from my original goal, mostly because I have confidence now that I can do it!
My original goal was 145, but then I realized I would still be considered 'overweight' there. So I lowered it to 140. Then 135, and now I'm saying 130. Today when I weighed in they did my body comp again, and it says to get to 28% body fat my goal should be 126. I don't know that I can get there or maintain that, but I'm not ruling it out. When I started I never dreamed I could really get to 145, much less now in the 130s. I'm just going to stick with the plan and keep up my workouts and see where I end up. I certainly have plenty of fat still hanging around my lower abdomen, hips and upper legs to make 125-130 realistic.
I wouldn't let having to buy new clothes hold you back! Find the place where you're happy and go for it! Stick to the plan and see where it takes you. Don't quit prematurely because of any fear! You can do it!
Succeed your so right, sometimes when you hit you goal u changes it, last time I lost 5 pounds under my goal for a buffer.
