Default Confused Newbie

Hi all,

I've only been on program for one week. When I went to weigh in today I was encouraged to try some of the other herbs that they sell. Currently, I am only taking a multi, MRC6, and flax seed oil. I was also encouraged to do 5 HNS a day instead of the three I'm required on the meta slim plus menu.

I don't like taking pills and putting all kinds of "stuff" in my body. Can I do this without the MRC 6? What is the benefit to me having 5 HNS? What did you find the most helpful? This all gets so expensive!!

Thanks for your wisdom!

Angie

I have done well on the program with 4 HNS a day, multivitamin, EFA, and B6 (I tend to retain water). I've tried some of the other supplements throughout; couldn't tell any difference with or without them. It does get expensive...I agree! Maybe just start with your basics that you already have and see how you do. You can always add supplements later if you aren't progressing as quickly as you'd like.

When I was doing the program through the center, I started with their "starter" pack of pills that lasted a few weeks. I couldn't stand taking them, so never took them again and lost at the same rate as everyone else. I think they become an emotional crutch for people who then "fear" that they won't lose without them. There is no way you will not lose weight if you follow this low-cal, low-carb, low-salt, low-fat program!! "Operator error" is the only thing that keeps us from our goal. LOL Do whatever you are most comfortable with. All programs like this make their money from the supplements, not the program fees.

And remember, plateaus are a normal part of any weight loss program --- it is not going to be caused by not taking pills, nor will it be broken by the pills -- your body will go back to losing when it "catches up".

If there was such a thing as a "Magic" weight loss pill, every physician in this country would prescribe it for their patients and we would not have the obesity issues in this country that we do have.

Post New to program too

Hello RedE4wings,

I am new to the program too and live right here in Omaha. I really would like a buddy for encouragement. I am on the Meta Slim Plus level 3 plan. I started pre condition last week and lost 1.5lbs. However, that weekend I went and had some of the food I enjoy that I won't be able to have for a long time so I put back on a half pound at weigh in on Monday. I go back for weigh in on Friday and hopefully I will have lost a few more

I haven't started a workout routine and am I little nervous about this. Any suggestions on food menus? I got a cookbook with my starter package, but the recipes don't look appetizing. Let me know if you need a buddy as well, there is comfort in numbers
