(But, I only thought of this plan as once I get to goal I can start introducing my favorite foods again.......I'm going to learn from that mistake this time) Anyhow, it was amazing that working & having a husband and 2 kids I cooked and prepared all my meals and actually had extra time! Some helpful tips: Have a box of the meal bars on hand (very tasty, and as mentioned before only can have 2 days per week). Also I like to have a scrambled egg w/ cheese on my toast. Some mornings I couldn't do it in the pan so I scrambled the egg w/ cheese and put in microwave for a minute. And ofcourse pop the toast in the toaster while that is cooking. Also, this is something that was told to me........"If you want something bad enough, you will make it happen" I think these words are great and very true! Keep asking questions and get ideas on here you'll do great. It will all work out if you want it to!!:)

Ok, quick question....I am not much of a cook can you explain to me how you do a scrambled egg w/cheese in the microwave? I have never heard of that before, but sounds easy and fast!

Thank goodness there is nothing in the drawer and opted for a glass of water.

I too am an emotional eater and that has been the hardest part of this program. The food part is easy but its been tough figuring out the emotions. I didn't really see connections until I started journaling. I starting writing in a notebook every time I wanted to eat off plan, weather it was because I was truely hungry or because I was angry, lonely, pissed or uncomfortable. This lead me to see the emotions that were pushing me to eat then I got to a point where I knew what the emotions were I just didn't know what to do with them. It has lead me to start seeing a therapist about some things in my past and I truely feel a difference. The food part has become easy again now that I am really working on the emotions. Good luck!

One thing I did learn in another health class was this one lady made quick omelletes.. she would put her scrambled raw eggs, cheese, veggies, etc. in a plastic baggie and easily place it in boiling water. She would then go off and get ready for work and let that boil for 10 minutes. When it was done, pop it out of the bag and it was a quick omelette.

My biggest defeat right now is breakfast, I am so not a morning person and I know its bad, I would totally skip that meal so I am learning to not do that!

I also just started MRC on Friday and on the pre-conditioning plan. I'm excited about going to my food class in a couple days and starting the fat-burning phase. I have 45 pounds to lose for better health. Wish me luck.

I am so excited!!! I sign up at MRC today at 11. I read through these and try to remember the tips you are giving. Any other things I need to know before I go. Do I need to buy all the supplements? I am not on any meds so my plan is wide open. What do you recommend for a newbie to purchase from MRC for supplements?

I just wanted to come out of lerking and say HI my name is Jenny and I started MRC on Sunday. Weighed in on monday and I was down 1.5 good went yesterday and I had gained 1lb I was so upset I cried my whole lunch break. Mon and tue were really hard for me and I wanted to quit. So then gaining a lb I wanted to die, I started with my babysitter who is little maybe 130 she is trying to lose 12lbs and she lost 2.5lbs in her first 2 days and in 3.5 days I had lost .5 Plus I'm working out!! How does that work! Well I started my period last night and thats all I can think of that would cause this. Anyway sorry to vent just needed to get it off my chest! I feel better about it today but still a little upset as you can still tell. Anyway have any advise besides "just stick it out" Oh yeah I weighted in at 218 so in my opinion i should be losing easy!

i've been lurking too, i've been on mrc since mid sept. at my first weigh in i had lost 4 pounds (started at 210.5). then at the next weigh in i was on my period and was up 3 pounds. i've noticed that each time i am on my period i tend to be up a couple pounds so maybe thats it for you too.
