I just started my first week on Monday. I read the post during my preconditioning week and they were a huge help! I was so scared to start the program; not knowing if I could do this or what the program was all about. Is the weight lost pretty consistent if you stick with the menus? They told me that I could loss my desired weight in 14 weeks, that is almost 3 lbs a week. Is that about average?

If you follow the program as is you will lose at least 2-3 pounds per week. This is a great way to lose weight and really learn about what to eat and portion control and for most of us, bad eating habits.. Welcome and any questions you have go on and ask. There are lots of knowlegable folks here who are more than willing to help..

Welcome!

This is so true.. The first month or two on program I was averaging between 5-6 pounds a week. Now it is about 2-3, but I am close to my goal weight so I figured it would start to be hard to come off at the end..

Hey!

I'm a newbie too! On my second week at MRC and just joined this message board. I lost 8 the first week, weighed in today - only down 1. BUT this week was my birthday..and I messed up a couple of times. Now with the holidays and birthday behind me...I'm looking forward to being more consistent. I keep hearing, if you stick with it - it works...so here goes! I'd love to hear about your progress! Keep me updated!

Good luck to you!

Welcome! I just started my first week on Monday as well. It's been a rough few days with nasty caffeine withdrawl headaches, but I was down 1.5 at my first weigh in so I guess that's something!

Best of luck to you!

Angie

Hey Ashley891 Wow 8 lbs the first week that is great!! Happy Birthdday! I have lost 6.6 ( yes I am counting the oz.) That was during the week of my preconditioning and this week. I start days 5-10 tomorrow. I just can't believe how fast those first few lbs dropped and was curious what the average weight loss was. It feels so good to eat and not feel guilty. We can do this!!

MRC is terrific. Do what they suggest and you will see big success. Maybe not ALWAYS 2-3 lbs a week, but pretty dang close!

One thing about the weight loss is yes you have to stick with it but with that in mind we all go off OP sometimes just get right back on it!

Before I go into the caffeine withdrawl headaches, let me say this is my 2nd time doing it on my own so I know how OP works and I am not telling anyone to do what I do.

I would drink DP like water! allday everyday I love DP, so when I started back Monday the headaches where killing me really really bad, So I was thinking going cold off it might not be good, I said Janie you will allow your self 4 oz of DP a day and but you will up your water intake 33 oz. So I drink 33 oz of water in the am at lunch I have 2 oz of DP this seams just right to keep the headaches gone, then flash with 33oz of water in the afternoon around 3pm is when the pain can really get bad I have my other 2oz and flas with 33oz of water. I am slowly going down on the DP and this has helpped me a lot but it takes a lot of will power and if u do try it you must keep that will power again this is what I do and might not be right for everyone!

What a terrific idea! I think that would have been much easier on me if I would have done the same thing! That is so smart! My headaches are much less now, but they still seem to come and go. I can't believe how hard it is to get off the stuff!

Thanks for the great idea!
