Default Question from a soon-to-be newbie

I have been waiting to join MRC until I got some Christmas $, which I have now, so will be joining this week. Since I've known I'd be starting soon, I've been eating anything and everything until then (ridiculous, I know). My question is- how bad is it going from that way of eating to MRC? Manageable? What got you thru the 1st few days? I realize that it's all frame of mind- I'm just nervous I guess and need some words of wisdom.

Welcome and yes it is challenging at times and yet very manageable. I recall feeling overwhelmed at first though. Taking it one day at a time is a constant reminder I tell myself. For me, I think just committing to do this and then just starting were the hardest....but success builds on success and in time it truly does seem easier. You're right--a lot of it IS frame of mind.

I gained 4 lbs between my signing up and getting my menus. I thought I'd have one last yippeee.. the first 2 days were hard. Getting off the caffine and sugar. After that it's not that bad. It is a commitment. The cost is a big factor for me. Just take it one day at a time... One meal at a time.. And like previous post.. If I can do it.. You can do it.

I have been on so MANY diets throughout my life. This one really works for me. It was overwhelming at first. I do not like to cook. There is a lot of food preparation with this plan. But I have learned to cook on the weekends and freeze things for the upcoming week. I buy the bagged ready made salad and pick the carrots out. My husband does not like to eat what I eat on this program so I have to cook him a separate meal! It has been challenging to say the least, but I have followed it 100% and am down almost 80 pounds! It works....Good luck.
