Menus

I would love to do this diet again. I have supplements left over from when I started this program. I have the Pre-Conditioning Menu, the Yellow Menu and the Blue menu. I realy need the green menu. Would somebody please email it to me?

Would it be possible to get the menus you do have from you? I'm considering the program and would love to see what it looks like beforehand.

I learned a "secret" from my counselor the other day: MRC meals are supposed to be 60% protein, 20% carb, 20% fat. I find it hard to get this much protein each meal - that is why the HNSs are so important. They are for the most part, just protein (15 grams protein times 4 calories per gram equals 60 calories) so do not skimp on using them to get enough protein.

Hmmm. I wonder what I eat that is fat for lunch. Chicken, green beans, and an apple.

In the back of the MRC Cookbook, it lists Compositions of Foods and says 4 oz Chicken breast has 36 grams protein and 4 grams fat. That is why when I went on maintenance it was so hard to get enough protein - except for HNSs, most protein sources have either fat or carbs too. I still use some HNSs and also a pure whey isolate protein powder my husband gets from ProteinFactory.com that I make my own shakes with.

Which whey isolate protein powder do you like from this website?

We buy the CMF Whey Isolate unflavored and unsweetened just as Protein Factory gets it from Glanbia. It is nice that Protein Factory will mix it with things to your request. We just feel we can do that at home with what we want. Besides we get a reduced price because they do not have to repackage it - we get the whole 15 or 20 kilogram bag for $300 to $400 every 3 or 4 months. jeanette
