Hi Paula, welcome!! I started about the same time you did (9/13/08) and its been going pretty well. I've had trouble losing with other diets also so I'm really happy with my loss so far. How much have you lost and how much do you want to lose? I love getting on here to read everyones posts and get encouragement when needed. Stick with it and you'll lose!

Hi Paula & welcome! You'll find the group on here a tremendous source of support. I'm also in Florida. Be sure and check out "MRC Take 29" which is the general chat thread (if you haven't already).

How awesome to hear from people so soon. I started out at 177 lbs and my goal is 130 I am 5foot 2 so 47lbs on this frame is a lot. I have lost 10 lbs so far which is more then I have ever lost before. I am very active and it is amazing to me that the weight just stays there. But The MRC plan is working for me and I feel good. My blood presure has gone from 160/102 to 111/72 just from drinking water. I am on the green menu and I take the MRC pills, multi vit, total woman, and the flexseed, and of course drink the protien drinks. I was wondering if any of you out there have tried the coratrim(? on spelling) for the fat in your mid section. would love to hear what works for you. thank you again for popping in hope to hear from you again.
Stay Strong Paula from Florida

for each ten pounds

Welcome Paula - we do most of our "chatting" on the "Take xx" threads - we're on MRC Take 29 now. Which center are you going to in NW FL? (I go to the Shalimar center.)

Hi Paula,
I'm the same height and starte MRC weighing 172 (VERY close to what you started at). I'm now down to about 130 (was down to 125.5, but have been waffling for a while due to my own laziness).

YOU CAN DO THIS!!! I never thought it was possible, but it truly is! Keep up the great work and keep checking in here. That's probably why I'm not doing as well. I don't come on here enough anymore. I need to get back to it. It's easy when you stay in control and follow the menus. It's hard to get back on track if you cheat.

Good luck.
Rocki

Paula.

Fritzi is right. MANY (almost ALL) people stall around 10 lbs or about 2 weeks into the program. I did the same exact thing and I was so upset. It's OKAY, really! It's just your body's way of adjusting to your new diet. Your body wants to hang on to that fat b/c it's always been there (well, at least for a while). Once you get through this plateau you may hit others (around 4-5 weeks, or maybe 20-25 lbs (can't remember), but you work through them. Stick to the plan and keep up the exercising (it's great that you're already VERY active). I just started running about a month ago and have really enjoyed it and it's helping me stay on track (I think I'm back to 127 or less now).

As far as my goal weight, I'm still not there (well, not MY goal weight). My original MRC goal weight was 130 and I was there back in August, so that was 5.5 months. I'd like to lose more (down to about 115-117, so that's 10 more lbs for me). HOWEVER, I CHEATED, A.LOT! If you stick to the plan you will lose much faster than I did. I can't even seem to do stabilization right. I start and stop over and over again. I've been starting stabilization since August I think. I've never done the full 6 weeks straight. I'm managing to control my weight and get more exercise and get back on track (trying Meta quick this week to get back on track a bit more) and will start stabilization AGAIN next week).

Good luck and PM me if you'd like (Private Message).

For a picture you can click on USER CP at the top and then AVATAR (on the left). It should let you upload a picture from there.

Thanks Rocki,If you dont mind me asking what pills did you take on MRC? Have you heard of the corta silm I asked them at the center last week. I just want to know how it worked on someone. They say it works on the belly fat which is where I hold a lot of my weight. Thanks again for your encourgment and sharing how you had ups and downs. As you can see with your help I was able to put my photo on. have a goodnight
