I know on the 5-1 plan you eat between 800-1000 calories and between 80-100g of carbs. But on the 4-2-1 diet you eat between 1000-1200 calories. Do I still stay under 100g of carbs or is it ok to go over a little? What's my carb limit on the 4-2-1? Just wondering. There isn't a lot of support for this plan but I want to do this one because I love exercise and I don't want to give it up or reduce it. Thank you!
Hey there, I'm doing similar and my carbs hover around 100g. For my L&G I use low carb strategies to keep things in line. I have noticed if my carbs exceed 100g I do tend to stall or in some cases have a little gain. Even on 4&2 I try to keep the carbs between 80-100g. Hope that helps.
I think it depends on how well you tolerate carbs. I notice my weight loss stalls if I go too far above 80g carbs but I know plenty of people who can eat around 110g, 120g and still lose at the same rate.
