Medifast round 2
Well, the weight is back.... UGH. I swear this is going to be my battle until I die. I am up to 191.9, after getting down to 137, and maintaining 150 for several years. Just had too much stress, and ignored myself. I have been training with a trainer 3 times a week for an hour since March so with Medifast I am hoping I will get down to 130 and hold it for good. I will be taking 1 day at a time and hoping for the best.
UGH UGH UGH I. CAN. DO. THIS. |
FatAbbi ~I am on Round Two also. It is no use thinking what was. On Friday, I joined a Medifast Weight Control Center to make myself accountable. I am just looking towards the spring and getting through each day as a stepping stone back to goal!
Be positive. Yes, you can do this. I can do this. Keep reading these boards for motivation. I applaud you for working with a trainer! That is such an accomplishment! I am no where near that yet. Perhaps in time. Stress is always a part of life. I used it as an excuse for my binge eating. I can't use it anymore. At least I can control my eating plan even though distasteful events are out of my control. It is easy with Medifast...no real thinking involved. Just take a packet, eat, wait 2-3 hours eat again. I look forward to those moments of being satisfied! Keep up the momentum!!! |
Thanks! 5 lbs down, hope you're doing well! 56 to go!
|
Hi, Abbi ~ Wonderful loss for the first week!
I lost 8.8 pounds the first week. (Major October bingeing, so mostly water weight). I weigh in on Fridays. Yes, I am doing well: day by day, minute by minute, moment to moment. I have tried the new Optavia products, more "sophisticated" taste than the original products and some take getting used to...but a nice change. You can order them individually from the MF site. We CAN do this. We WILL do this. Let's keep this thread going! :high: |
I'm seriously considering doing Medifast again too.
I lost almost 70 lbs a few years ago, and kept it off for about 6 months. Then two consecutive (relatively major) surgeries made it so I couldn't workout like I was... but I didn't change my eating habits. And the weight crept back on. Now I'm 25-ish lbs more than I was when I started Medifast the first time! But I know how fast the weight comes off, and once you get into the groove, it's easy to stick with. And now I have to fit into a bridesmaid dress in March... motivation!!! |
Welcome, TabulaRasa ~ You are right! Once you are in the groove, you just do it. I track the hour and the meal as I go along during the day to be accountable.
Have you tried the Optavia line yet? Abbi ~ I would love to hear from you, too! This is a challenging week, though a plan is in order. Luckily, my husband is cooking the turkey this Thanksgiving and desserts that family requested are at a minimum! One of the MF desserts will be savored by me! I am officially weighing in at a Medifast center on Friday morning. So that, too, will be keeping me aware and on target. Have a lovely Thanksgiving! |
I went from a tighto size 14 to a size 8 a couple years ago and then let the weight creep back on. Sadly, I was dieting all the time I was gaining. Several Metafast attempts and low carb/whole 30, alternating with binging. I have decided strict Metafast is my only solution and I am hoping to find some of the support here that was on the old Metafast boards.
I hate feeling this fat and need to turn things around. 53 and menopausal, which is adding to the challenge... |
HalfPass ~ Welcome! I remember the Medifast boards...I go way back to 2003. (There is also a board called Make Me Thinner that is no longer active, but still up.) I miss so many of those wonderful people!
I just woke up about 2 1/2 weeks ago and decided to go to a Medifast center. I was thoroughly fed up, couldn't follow through with Weight Watchers meetings, fell out of control with the binges and hit rock bottom. Today, Day 18 on Medifast, 11.3 pounds down and I feel in control. One of the biggest obstacles I have overcome is the end of using of Diet Pepsi. I was drinking 3-4 liters a day - thinking they would keep me from eating, but just the opposite. I noticed the amount of soda was escalating and completely insane! So I prayed. Six days ago I woke up and decided drinking water it is - plain and cold, no ice. I finally found a use for all the free Blender Bottles I have received with Medifast orders over the years. It is just the right size and easy to drink - a lot! I have never admitted this disorder before. But writing it out seems cathartic. One day at a time. One moment at a time. Let's keep this thread going. |
Yes, let's keep this going! I am on day four. I have a stockpile left from previous attempt and a few good substitutes from diet direct. I just joined TSFL and put in an order, so I am committed and ready to make it happen this time. I just can't go through another summer fat and I have so many nice cloths that don't fit.
I am finally admitting to myself that I have binge eating disorder and it seems like Medifast is the only way to control it. I have had success with low carb in the past, but the last couple of years I keep binging on low carb food and gaining weight. It feels good to be back on plan! Congrats on ditching the diet pepsi!! |
I wish a Happy Binge-Free Thanksgiving to all! :thanks1:
I am focusing on my 5 and 1. Honestly turkey is not my favorite protein...so I should be okay. I just keep thinking the I have to weigh in on Friday and that should keep me on plan. All my family will be here and I am just trying to keep calm. I tend to worry that all will turn out well. One day at a time, one hour at a time and we can all survive this holiday! HalfPass~ Congrats on getting back on plan! Don't let the holidays deter your progress! Day 5 turns into Day 100 before you know it! I am on Day 21 - Thanksgiving Day - and that came very fast! Check in everyday if you can! I read the boards to keep me on track and sane! We can do this. We will do this. |
Good Luck today MorningGlory and all. I am making ham for Thanksgiving today, my husband loves it and I don't eat it. I am planning the mall around things that are not tempting to me and I will have a separate lean and green. There are just three of us, so it won't be a big deal. I am frustrated that I let myself gain all this weight, but trying to look forward, since I can't turn back the clock. This time I am going to do the transition by the book and if I need to keep on some variation of medifast to maintain, so be it.
|
Hope that everyone's day went well. I stayed totally on track, had lean and green at noon. Last time I did Medifast I was starving all the time. This time seems much better. I am hopeful the the lack of appetite piece of ketosis is finally kicking in for me.
|
HalfPass~ We are rocking! I stayed on plan all day, too! We can put this holiday in the books...our success can keep us motivated to make it through Christmas and New Year's...only two actually days - and we can be part of a minority that does not have to make a New Year's resolution to start a new diet regime!
One day at a time! Congratulations to us!!! |
I went to a Medifast Center this morning. I lost 3 pounds! So grateful that I stayed on plan Thanksgiving Day.
Day by day...just eat the 5 meals and our lean and green and success will be ours! |
Hi ladies- I am new to MF, and looking for a supportive group. Most forums/communities seem outdated. I've been researching for the past week or so and feel optimistic. My food arrives on Tuesday, and I'm excited to finally start this journey. Will be doing 5/1. I have about 85 lbs. (yuck) to lose, and I figure there is no time like the present.
|
Welcome, TWINCA! So glad you found us! We are a relatively new group, so you'll fit right in! I am on Day 23 and have lost 13.3 pounds thus far. The first 3 days are a bit challenging, but after that you won't feel the need to overeat or in my particular case, binge on sugar. Some of the MF foods are fantastic, others okay. Don't get discouraged if you try something and it doesn't appeal to you. Later in your journey it may taste great. We can compare foods once you try them. There is a great YouTube series by MetallicaMom regarding all the Medifast foods including the new Optavia line. She mixes different packets together and creates all kinds of new tastes. I highly recommend it.
But to start out, keep it simple. If you have any questions, just ask. I know you are going to do just fine! |
So happy to see our group growing! I am on day 8. I don't weigh myself, because I get hung up on numbers and get discouraged, leading to going off plan. I was a tight 14 to start, the 14s are starting to fit better. I have done medifast before, so I know if I stick to plan it will work. I am 53 and I have to get away from the pattern of yoyo dieting. Also, I love fashin and right now none of my nice clothing fits..
|
Yea, HalfPass! You are doing great :cheer3:
I agree with you about the scale. I only get weighed once a week at a Medifast Center to keep me accountable. But honestly, the feel of your clothing is a great indicator. Just keep on doing what you're doing and the weight loss will follow. I, too, am so glad our group is growing. I think we are all in the honeymoon phase...mild ketosis has set in and we are feeling the wonderful effects of being crave-free. One of the best scenarios in my life, for sure! As we continue on our journeys, the support will be paramount to our success. One minute, one moment at a time we will all reach our goal weight! So glad to hear from you!!! Keep reading the boards...it helps immensely, no matter what program a person uses! Have a lovely Sunday! |
New here and to Medifast
Hi - I'm new here and on day 2 of Medifast. I like to hear all of your stories and motivation in how to make MF work for you. I feel pretty good, but just on day 2. This seems like a more active and recent MF board , hope it's okay that I'm not on round 2
|
Welcome, Lbryant726, of course, it is wonderful that you joined us! We are all on our present Medifast journey and every one of us is starting anew!
We are also all in the honeymoon phase...so we are all very motivated. I try to vary the Medifast products so I am not bored. I keep a stash in the glove compartment of my car for any time I am out and about. I carry plenty of water in a personal cooler, too. I read these boards everyday...no matter if related specifically to Medifast or not. They give me great motivation. Just remember to breathe...take it slow...read all your MF materials...and let the magic begin. FYI, after you are on the boards 20 days and write at least 20 posts, you can go to tickerfactory.com and make yourself a neat ticker as part of your signature. I just think it is those fun little things that motivate you to keep on going. There are some neat challenges on the different boards as well. One I am in is Delicious for Christmas under Chicks Up for a Challenge under the support group thread. Also the first 3 days can be challenging, but after that all your cravings will subside greatly, especially if you are a sugar addict like me. Check in everyday. Let all of us know if we can help in any way! You are going to do great! It is nice you joined our MF family!!! |
MediFast Day 1
Food arrived yesterday, and officially completed Day 1. I bought that big "TV offer" variety pack so I could try a little of everything. So far, so good!
6AM: Dutch chocolate shake in my new Medifast blender with water and ice. YUM! Also added water to the soup in a mug, covered, and placed in my fridge to rehydrate for lunch based on other comments I read. 8AM: Honey mustard pretzels. Can make my way through the box, but will not order again (tried a sample of the cinnamon ones last week, and liked those a lot). 10AM: Sour cream and chive mashed potatoes. YUM! 12PM: Chicken flavored noodle soup. Was well-hydrated, and tasted pretty good. Will definitely order again. YUM-ish! 2PM: S'mores crunch bar. Of course, YUM! 5:30PM: Flavors of Home LG Beef Stew, and bag of Rosemary Sea Salt Crackers (snack). Really liked the stew, much to my surprise. Added some salt and pepper (condiments, but certainly not 1/4 tsp). Crackers were a little bland (like saltines, with no salt). Will definitely order both again. YUM! Water consumption: 128 ounces (1G) and hitting bathroom every 30-60 minutes! Also started the Medifast Probiotic and Omega 3 supplements. 860 calories, 84 g of protein. Boggles my mind. So what to eat tomorrow!?!? It's kind of like a food treasure hunt! :-) |
TWINCA ~ Wow, you had a 100% day! You are working this program as it was meant to be followed! You give me added incentive and inspiration!
Have a fantastic Day 2 and keep us informed of your progress! :bravo: |
Run down of Medifast Day 2:
5AM - Strawberry shake blended with ice in my Medifast blender. Not as yummy as the Dutch Chocolate Shake, but good enough such that I'd definitely order again for the sake of variety. Also added water in a mug and the Ziti, covered and placed in fridge to hydrate until lunch. 7AM - Brownie Soft Bake. OK, big fail on my part b/c I just grabbed the packet and not the cardboard dish thing. So I decided to wing it. Put in small, shallow dish (akin to a small soufflé cup), and slowly added water until it was thick, but just thin enough to easily stir. Popped the whole thing into the microwave for 45 sec (still slightly soft in middle) then 15 sec more. Voila! It actually worked! That's going into the YUM category. 9AM - Chili Nacho Cheese Puffs. Biggest YUCK...well, so far. I mean, they were super bad. I could only eat 1/3 of the bag (over the course of an hour). Never, ever again. 11:30AM - Ziti Marinara - YUM! Not greatest Italian food ever created, but it will get the job done. Nuked the mug with the hydrated ziti for 2 minutes, and good to go. Will definitely buy again. 1:45 PM - Peanut Butter Crunch Bar - YUM! Favorite so far. 4PM - 3.5 oz of Pollo Loco boneless, skinless chicken breast (1/2 serving), and a side of steamed broccoli. I was so full, I couldn't eat anymore! 128 oz of water. Plus my daily Medifast Probiotic and Omega 3 supplements. 653 calories, 87g of protein. Mind still boggled. Need to work on adding the healthy fats somehow, but good to go so far. |
Another great day, TWINCA! Thanks for sharing...try again to get all your protein in and your healthy fat. Any type of salad dressing that you could dip your broccoli in? I use Hidden Valley Yogurt Caesar Parmesan: 2 Tbsp. = 1 fat. It is really good!
|
I'm in the same place. Have gained back about 60 pounds, but it's taken a few years, slowly creeping back. I've tried ww but it doesn't seem to really work for me, I'm blaming it on middle age and thyroid issues maybe. I was able to lose about 90 pounds on mf before. I think I got really mad when they took apart their forums and had a hard time doing it after that...I had a detailed blog that was lost :(. Anyway, my knees are killing me and I'm hoping if I take this weight off it will help. Need some encouragement, I hope that reading your posts here will help.
|
It is great to see more people joining in on this thread. I am on day 13 and starting to feel the positive impacts, more energy for sure and I wore pants to work the other day. I only wear dresses when I gain weight and I think it has been about two years!
I had a good week. Was out of town for work for a couple days, as I am most weeks, and made it through a couple work meals and 10 hours in the car, both of which are huge challenges to staying on plan. When I got back home my new Medifast order had arrived early! I have been making do wit leftovers and substitutes. So I am enjoying some new variety, including to Optivia line. Not sure what I think yet, though I like the "cleaner"aspect. We shall see. |
Welcome, emira! I know how you feel about the Medifast forums and blogs...they were such a lifeline. But we are so glad to have you join our group! Little by little we are all just starting out and life is good! You are going to do great. Don't think about the past. This is a new journey, with a new Optivia line - see what you think! Just keep coming back to this thread, as well as all the other posts on the other boards! It helps me immensely! (BTW, I had my complete thyroid removed in 2007 and am constantly getting blood levels regulated with different doses of Synthroid...so you see MF still works under these circumstances!)
HalfPass ~ Wow Day 13 for you already! And you did so well on your trip! Applause, applause! :cp: Plus you had an early Christmas package waiting for you upon your arrival home - your MediFast food! Keep up the fantastic momentum! I went to my Medifast center today - I lost 2.5 more pounds! Today is Day 29 for me and I have lost a total of 15.9! I am so excited! I honestly am so happy I kicked the Diet Pepsi addiction (with God's help) and am now drinking water like crazy. So onward we all go! :grouphug: |
Medifast Day 3
So by now you can probably tell that I'm a little OCD... haha! Basically, I'm tracking so I know what to reorder, and maybe help others trying to figure out what tastes good (YMMV).
Day 3 menu: 3AM (yes, early work day): French Vanilla shake prepared with ice in my Medifast blender. Preferred order is now Dutch Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. All generally good though. I also like the fact it can take me 60-90 min. if I drink slow, then time to eat again! Also rehydrated my soup in a mug, and put in fridge for lunch. 5AM: Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal - I had read comments that this might be hit or miss. I added a little bit of powder at a time to 6 oz hot water in a mug, while stirring so that it wasn't lumpy. I let it sit for 15 minutes. It was definitely dissolved, but next time I'll use less water. It was too soupy and I prefer it thicker. Still, though, I think it will be good to go next time. 7AM: Chocolate Pudding - I took a reverse course for this after reading it could be lumpy. I put the packet in a bowl, and slowly added a bit of water, stirred, repeat. I stuck it in the fridge for 15 minutes, but it didn't really set. Will use less water next time. Either way, even soupy chocolate pudding is good! YUM! 9AM - Oatmeal Raisin Crunch Bars - YUM! 11:30AM - Chicken Flavored Noodle Soup - Still a solid YUM! The pre-hydrating is key I think. 2:45PM - Cheddar & Sour Cream Popcorn - Umm, hello? Big YUM! 5:00PM - Flavors of Home Turkey Meatball Marinara - Needed a little salt (condiment, but much less than 1/4 tsp), but YUM! Probiotic and Omega 3 supplements 128 oz. (1Gal water) 890 calories, 89g protein. Wow! Everyone says first three days are the worst, and I actually feel good. So thankful that the food is generally pretty good (except this chili puffs). 3 days down, like 8 months to go...haha!! How is everyone else doing? What foods are you eating? I have a thirst for knowledge... |
TWIN CA Emira and MorningGlory, Good Morning and glad you are all doing so well!
I am a bit unusual in that I have always loved the oatmeal. I am not big on not shakes and when I have them it is usually as a shakecake. I like all the bars and am OK on the crunchy things, I sometimes sub Annes Naturals pretzels or puffs or the wonderslim Os. I like most of the bakes, gingerbread seems like a seasonal treat this time of year! I am not big on Zita or Mac and Cheese, I think I don't get how to to prep them. Not sure what I think of the optivia line so far, they are just "ok".. On the road for work again next week and meeting friends for dinner. I asserted myself in insisting I needed a place with a good salad option. Wine has been my biggest downfall in the past, this time I am having an easier time staying away from it, I hope that lasts!! |
Good Morning, all! I love coming here. I sometimes think that everyone knows about Medifast, but in the real world, others think you are on some type of fad diet and just don't understand.
But here, we know exactly what each other are going through and why we are doing it...it is normal! TWINCA ~ I love your menus. I find that the pudding used as a shake with 10 ounces of liquid and ice in a blender works beautifully. Sometimes I use 1-2 TBSP Davinci Sugar Free syrups which come in so many lovely flavors and it changes the flavor of the shake to something new and exciting! I even use Diet SF Vanilla soda as the liquid. I like the oatmeal. I use a deep microwaveable soup mug with the plastic lid with the little steam release tab on the top (you can get them in Bed, Bath and Beyond -Systema brand - not expensive - use 20% coupon!) That works like a charm! (Just be sure you buy the larger one, mine is purple!) I am so glad you are feeling well! HalfPass ~ Again, try the Systema mug I mentionned for the Ziti or Mac 'n Cheese. I am trying not to sub products yet...just feel guilty. I guess it is that "all or nothing" mentality! It is great you spoke your mind regarding your dinner plans. I have found that no matter what venue I am in, I can do Medifast 100% - even if that means getting a side salad, eating it slowly and some hot tea or coffee until I can eat on plan. Honestly nobody really cares unless you make it obvious as to what you are doing. Just enjoy the conversation and look busy with your fork and cup! emira ~ and others, please let us know how you are doing or if you need any help! I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend...one meal at a time, and we have SIX! :T |
Lost 7 lbs in 3 days!
Medifast Center weigh-in (-7d.): 246 Starting weight (Medifast Day 1): 244 Current weight (Medifast Day 4): 237 I know it is water weight (notwithstanding that I drink a gallon per day), but I can't help but fantasize that in 30 days, I'll be down 70 lbs. HAHA!! |
TWINCA ~ :celebrate:
It is so motivating to see those numbers go down!!! 7 pounds in 3 days is awesome! Keep it up!!! I know you will! |
I wish I had read your post more carefully yesterday, I was a Bed Bath and Beyond ☺. Regarding eating out, it is a good reminder that no one cares what you are eating, I need to keep reminding myself that. I don't tell anyone I am on MediFast, I just plan my Lean and Green for any social meals and say I am watching calories and carbs. Your right MorningGlory, people do see it as a crazy fad diet. True I did gain back last time, but I am pretty confident that if I follow the transition plan this time I can keep it off.
I agree, I really miss the old forums, I used to log on first thing in the morning and sometimes during the day as well. It was very motivating and facebook is not a substitute in my mind. I was on in 2010-early 2011 and the boards were really active. Today is the start of week 3, which I have heard is typically a big week for losing inches. Time really does go fast, I remember last time it felt like a long time to start to show significant results, then it seemed like I was down a size every week or two. I am 53 and menopause has really caused some changes, but I think MediFast is still working it's magic! |
HalfPass ~ Darn about just being in Bed, Bath and Beyond! I checked the Systema mug and it is 33.8 ounces...definitely big enough to accomodate the rising of the ziti, oatmeal, etc. Next time you're there definitely check it out...it is not expensive.
This time on Medifast I have definite plans for a good transition and maintenance. I have found a psychologist in my area that deals with binge eating. I met with her once and she took a detailed eating history, including the expected family/social dynamic throughout the years. She herself is a recovering binge eater. She has been conducting an 8 week class called "Food and Mood" which addresses the many aspects of why we overeat. It is not what we normally hear - goes much deeper. It will be in a small group setting and starts January 19. She is also running a transition group which meets twice a month which I never had in all of my times of reaching goal. (WW pretty much leaves you high and dry once you reach goal!). I will be 66 tomorrow...I am much younger in body and spirit (my husband is 14 years younger! ;) ), but I am still learning and yearning to be at goal for good. I know God has worked in mysterious ways in my life. I have asked for 50 years to handle this addiction in an appropriate and realistic manner, so that I can live the best life I possibly can. I know He is answering my prayer. This turned into a birthday proclamation of new goals!! :gift: Yes, this will be the best gift I can give myself! |
Aphil, a 3FC member, posted this article on another forum. I thought this would be a wonderful reminder to tuck away in a corner of our mind for future reference.
Falling Off The Diet Wagon by Jonathan Bowden, M. A. "One of the most discouraging aspects of weight loss are the inevitable slips. Everyone has them. For some people, an occasional slip engenders an all out binge...followed by guilt, self-recrimination, a sense of powerlessness, and a feeling of "What's the use?" Sound familiar? I call it "falling off the diet wagon," and if you can change how you think about it, you don't need to be victimized by it anymore. Let's start by looking at a simple children's game called "Chutes and Ladders." Here is how it works: you use a spinner to advance from space to space toward the winner's spot. Along the way there are ladders-which leapfrog you over a lot of spaces-as well as chutes-which send you back in the opposite direction. Some kids play this game with a laissez-faire, "whatever" attitude, taking life as it comes with all its ups and downs, pitfalls and triumphs. They learn the wonderful moral of Chutes and Ladders-half the secret of life is just showing up. Keep playing the game, and eventually you will get where you are going. Some kids, however, get very upset when they land on a chute. They are ready to quit the game, pick up their proverbial marbles and go home. For some reason, they believe that life isn't supposed to have any chutes. When they land on them, they are very disappointed and feel like giving up. Weight loss is like a huge game of Chutes and Ladders. In dealing with hundreds of clients over the years, I've discovered that the biggest difference between the winners and the losers in the weight loss war isn't whether or not people have "slips" and go off their program. It's not really a question of "if" they have them, it is a question of "when." What really makes the difference is how you deal with the slips when they happen. Her's an example. You have been absolutely wonderful on your plan for three weeks. You've been sticking to your exercise routine and feeling pretty terrific. You go to your best friend's wedding and have a glass of wine. Before you know it, soemone is insisting that you try those delicious little canapes, and before the wedding singer can say "Tanta Elka Cuts The Cake," you've managed to down about 4,000 calories from stuff you wouldn't have been caught dead looking at during the past few weeks...pates, desserts, breads, stuffings, you name it. Most people think that's where the action stops. Actually, it's where the real action begins. First, a reality check. Have you done a lot of damage? Not really. You may have put on a pound or two. Big deal. You can knock it off in no time, and go right back to work on yourself. So what's the problem? The problem isn't what we did, but what we make it "mean." We tell ourselves that our "transgression" means that we have no willpower, that we will never succeed, that our efforts are in vain. Let me suggest something more empowering. Suppose, instead, that we learn to see life's occasional "chutes" as just that-stumbling blocks that everyone hits on their personal path to personal power, nothing to be afraid of and certainly nothing to give a lot of meaning to. So you had a chute. On your next spin you might hit a ladder. Most important of all, you can't win the game unless you keep on playing. And every minute gives you a new chance for another spin. Take it. And don't look back. *this article was found by 3FC member Silence...I thought you all might enjoy it as much as I did.* |
Great article, Thank You for posting. Truly words to live by,
|
Plugging along
Hey all. Enjoy reading your posts. Very encouraging! I'm on day two of being back on program. Going fine so far, a little headache but not too bad. I really hope to get some weight off and see if this will improve the pain in my knees. I'm also doing some exercises and taking some turmeric to reduce inflammation. Thx all for your encouragement!
|
The first couple days are always the hardest Emira, hope that things are going well for you. I would think weight loss would very likely make an improvement in your knees.
I just got back from a couple days out of town and made it through staying on plan. Two more weeks of being out of town for a couple days and I am done with work travel for the year. We don't have children and no family nearby, so the actual Holidays are not a huge challenge. For me, staying on plan is easier once I am down a size or two. I have a lot of nice clothing just waiting for me to fit into again. |
:hug:emira ~ So wonderful you have made it through to Day 3...after that, your cravings will greatly diminish! Stick with us and we will all be successful.
HalfPass ~ Wow, traveling and sticking with the program is admirable! Do you have a kitchen when you are out of town - microwave, fridge, blender, etc. I have found that Medifast is really a breeze when traveling as long as I have those 3 appliances. On the run, the car glove compartment holds my stash of MF products and water in the cooler and I am good to go. That is the beauty of this program. My weigh in is Friday morning and even though I had a lovely on plan birthday dinner Sunday night and a Christmas dinner party last night, I am confident that the scale will reflect the rewards of this 5 and 1 program. Great lean and green meals, btw!!! Keep the momentum going...we CAN do this, we WILL do this!!! |
Things here are going well, made it through my workweek(we work Sun-Thurs). Successfully avoided cake at work. I'm not sure why people are so darn interested in why I don't eat sugar. This is one thing I've maintained since doing medifast the last time. I just find that if it's out of my diet I don't have the cravings I used to have. People wouldn't try to get you to drink if you were an alcoholic, I don't see how it's that different. Not drinking alcohol also seems to be of interest to other people. For me, being healthy is just more important than these things now, and given my situation, I can't do a little sugar or alcohol (unlike some others), it just interferes with the larger goals I have. Sigh, I guess lots of people just don't get it. Good thing that you all do!
