Default Stomach Pain?

Maybe I am a wimp, but I have had a horrible stomach ache following every shake I have had today! Poo! I have an ultra sensitive tummy since having babies ( IBS) and I'm wondering if the soy (?) is the culprit? This is only day 1 and I hate the thought of having 100 shakes ( which I actually like) to toss or try to Ebay if this doesn't subside.
Did anyone else have stomach pains???

Today was my first day too. I just overall did not feel too great today. I had a mild headache all day with a little bit of nausea. Hopefully it is just our bodies adjusting to the plan.

Not sure if it's the soy. I would call Medifast and ask them. Make sure your packets aren't expired!

A friend of mine had stomach pain and bad gas and she found out that she is allergic to gluten. There is not alot of gluten (wheat) in MF but apparently enough that she had to stop. Check with your Dr.

Wink

Hi...I had a terrible dizzy, lightheaded feeling on my first day and by 9:00 pm, I had to just go lay down for the night. The second day I was fine. I believe mine came from the oatmeal. I haven't had oatmeal since, and I'm in my 2nd week and I feel fine. Hope this helps.

I was a little dizzy the first few days. My stomach aches have gone away. I also had headaches the first few days and those have stopped too. Overall I am feeling pretty energetic. I have my spells of hunger but I am making it through them. Glad I made it through the first few days - they were a bit rough.

Default Awful stomach pain

When I started Medifast I felt great, as time goes on my stomach is starting to bother me, this week it has been so bad I landed in the ER, they thought I had gastritis, inflamation of stomach lining, maybe due to soy allergy. I am not sure what to do as this has been the only thing that has worked for me.

I have recently had some discomfort, like 2.5ish months into the program, but nothing tums hasn't cleared up fairly quickly. If its intense pain or lasts very long, please go to the dr (i realize this is a bit late, but in case people in the future read this). You don't want your insides all messed up because you wanted to be "strong"! better safe than sorry!

Please rest assurred that stomach discomfort is normal. Be sure that you are near a bathroom if cramping. After a week or so your body will adjust to the soy and you will be just fine. I have been on Medifast twice in the past and am speaking from experience. And how did I do? The first time I was on it for 3 months - lost 100 # and kept it off for 10 years. The second time I was on it I lost 90 # in 3 months but within a year it returned. (Had alot of personal problems and quite trying.)

Talking Stomach Cramps on MediFast

On day 2 of the diet I had such severe stomach cramps I thought I was getting the flu. After dinner of food that I made it got worse. I went to bed and at midnight I awoke and vomited. I had a temp of 100.7. Now this is my question, it is now 7AM and my fever is gone and I feel okay. So was the temp and the vomiting a 6 hour flu or was it MediFast related.

I hope these cramps and gas subside, they really hurt.

You may be allergic to soy. You should check with a doctor. I did a quick google search and there is information out there: http://www.healthline.com/health/all.../soy#Overview1
