Condiments/Healthy Fats???

  • Good evening all. I'm on day 3 of Medifast, and I have been making sure to do it 100% by the book, so I'm worried about messing up here. My question is in regards to the condiments and healthy fats.
Are healthy fats and the seasoning all in the same category?? I couldn't see how that would be right, so I went to the chat option online and asked, and the lady said they WERE the same. I was having a hard time understanding how using 1 garlic powder could replace a healthy fat?? Is that true?
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone may have to offer. I'm stuck here and don't want to use more than I can. Was hoping I could use my healthy fat PLUS a seasoning perhaps? Anyway, thanks for reading!
  • Hi, I love medifast! You get 3 condiments a day, the healthy fats are included in the list, so you can have 1 or 2 fats depending on the lean choices then you have 1 or 2 condiment choices left. You can have your fat at garlic too. A word of warning about this diet, or any other calorie restricted diet. You will lose the weight fast, but if you just quit the diet you WILL gain it back plus. It is very important to have a transition plan in case you want to stop the diet, which is basically gradually adding back the calories. I wish someone would have told me this important information at the beginning.
  • Thanks for your reply and advice! I am really loving Medifast too. I'm learning which foods I like and don't like, and I'm on day 5 going strong!!!
I am going to do the transition phase once I reach goal so I can have the skills to keep it off. I cannot come back to this place where I'm at again!
Again, thanks for clearing that up for me as far as the condiments and healthy fats. I did realize I have been making one error every day. I eat about 5 ice breakers mints a day during work. I found out that you can only have up to 3 sugar free mints a day. I'm hoping this hasn't affected me too badly, but I'm glad I discovered this before too long. We'll see!
