Default Anyone have shadows under their eyes?

I'm new to this forum. Have done Medifast one week and am delighted to have lost five lbs. However... I've noticed after this week I have shadows under my eyes. I remember someone from church who was losing a lot of weight and she had shadows under her eyes as well. Is this particular to Medifast, or just to quick weight loss, or unrelated? Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm feeling hopeful about Medifast as I have struggled with so many different diets. I like how easy the program was my first week, and how quickly I am losing weight. I'm a little worried about whether it is healthy for me.... I guess mostly because of the artificial sweeteners (but I do love how their shakes taste!). I'm wondering if that can cause the shadows?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

My opinion? The shadows under your eyes are because of quick weight loss and the change in tissue hydration. It could also be the stress of the diet. But I'm not a doctor and neither is anyone else here. If you are seriously worried, go see your doctor.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd rather have shadows under my eyes for a while and keep losing weight. Makeup hides it. I'm gearing up for week two!

I have very pale skin and have had dark circles under my eyes for years. But since starting MF, it does seem that the cirlces are darker. I think it is just the stress of diet on my body and is to be expected, to a certain degree.

I would try upping you water consumption to see if that helps.

I got rid of my dark circles by eating 3 tablespoons of raw pumpkin seeds once a week.
I had circles for years. I had to use a white-out makeup to cover them up. They are gone now.

I keep eating the seeds once a week so the circles don't return... and also because my hair grew in very thick from eating the seeds, and they get rid of my dry skin in the winter too.

Trader Joe's sells them and so do health food stores. You need to eat the raw ones. They have no shells.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

I"m on day 3, I have darker circles than usual as well. Makes me a little more depressing to look at as well. I'll have to try the pumpkin seeds idea.
