Talking Having Trouble Fitting in All 5 Medifast Meals...

I am really having trouble getting all five of the medifast meals in. I am only on day two so I am thinking this may just be because it is new... Anyone else have this issue???

Maybe I shouldn't admit this but I eat two at breakfast, two at lunch, lean and green for dinner and 1 before bed. I'll be interested to read the suggestions others make for getting in the 6 separate meals a day.

I'm on week 6 and I still have problems getting them all in. Mostly I lose track of time, and next thing I know it's bedtime and I'm short a packet or two.

You have to be very careful not to shortchange your packets though - I got thrown into a big stall this week because over the weekend I had a couple days in a row that I shortchanged mine.

What's helped me get back on track is to really plan my packets out for a day - I use the MyMedifast website to randomly pick 5 packets for me per day out of my "cupboard" and I mark each one off as I eat it, so there's no way I get to bedtime without knowing how many more packets I need to have that day. Of course, if I don't like the food it picks, I'll just switch it out for something I do want instead.

I just registered at the medifast site, wow what a helpful tool. I know though what you are saying, times goes by and I realize that I have only had two or three medifast meals. I previously posted that I had made a very limited order (4 boxes shakes and soup) so I am hoping that once my big order comes in and there is more of a variety I will do better with fitting them in. I have put packets in my purse so I always have the option of having a meal... so far so good, I am almost afraid it is too good to be true. I have gone from 195 on Thursday to 191.4 today.....I know alot of this is probably water weight but I will take what I can get.......

Congrats on your loss so far! I know, it feels like it's too good to be true huh? Well I can tell you six weeks later, it still feels that way.

Variety definitely helps, and if something you try the first time doesn't really do it for you, just put it away for a month or so and you'll be amazed how your tastes change.

You really need to eat all 5&1 lean and green and they should be spaced every 2-3 hours apart.

It's designed that way so your blood sugar stays constant and you will not get hungry.

It's ok if you need to double up a meal once in a while but it's better to space it at least an hour apart like if it's the end of the day and you want to get to bed..

The program works if you follow it.

I sort all my meals when I get the box. I put 5 meals into each qt size zip lock bag and each day just grab one bag.

Good luck to you all

I set a reminder on my phone- so that way if I get busy and forget, I have something to remind me.

Also, as soon as my reminder goes off, I set it again for my next meal. Usually space them 2.5-3hrs apart depending on what my day looks like.

I have to work out a system to get them all in, I felt faint at the grocery store today and then I realized I had only had 190 calories all day. I bought a magic bullet and it has helped so much it is so convenient and i can make the shakes into frozen drink without using my big blender....it has been wonderful. I am determined to get all 5 meals in tomorrow.

I was having a very difficult time fitting the 5 MF meals a day. Wasn't loosing the weight and then realized how many calories I wasn't having...starvation mode set in even though I didn't know it!
I always buy extra meals so I have more variety. I bring my boxes to work, pull out the quantity that I will have during the day (I always save one for after dinner!) They are a constant reminder, of what I have had and what I need to have. Sometimes I even have to have one around 5:30pm just before leaving so I won't be tooooo hungry for dinner. I ALWAYS carry a bar in my purse, for "just in case". Came in handy a few times!

My struggle is with the water. I am fine in the summer (here in arizona it is easy to drink the 66oz of water) Winter months, not so easy. I know it is good for the colon to keep everything flushed, but man, it is hard for me.
I use the Lemonade infuser once in a while with 33 oz of water, but it makes my heart race! The Crystal Light pack to go is actually for 2 bottles of water, so I use it in my 33 oz bottle from time to time.

Any other suggestions?
