newbie kind of!
Hey all! About three years ago my mom lost 50 pounds on Medifast. Unfortunately she gained it all back because she didn't really "transition" but just went right back to eating whatever she wanted. I mainly want to do this diet so I can be motivated to quit drinking, smoking, eating junk food, and other bad habits. I "quit" smoking about a month ago except for two saturdays when I drank lol - then when I drink I always eat tons that night and the next morning - its just a vicious cycle. I tried Medifast before for about two weeks, and thats when I realized I'm allergic to soy... or at least I have a bad reaction to it (the high amount of estrogen messes with my TOM, making it last for up to 30 days!). I really wanted to try medifast again though.. so I decided to order two weeks of all soy free products. This gives me a limited menu but it's not too bad. I got creamy chicken soup, dark chocolate shakes, scrambled eggs, creamy tomato soup, cherry pomegranate shakes, momentum cappuccino, peach iced tea, and creamy broccoli soup.
One question I have is - are you supposed to eat the 5 meals a certain number of hours apart? Like if I eat breakfast at 7 am and then my midmorning snack is on my break at 11 is this too many hours? Should I try to eat before leaving closer to 8?
